Bachelor of Science in International Business
It truly is a global economy. And perhaps there’s a place for you somewhere in the mix. This program centers on international finance and global economics, offering you the global focus that today’s leaders need to effectively manage international business operations.
You’ll find evidence of our global economy in the stuff you use every day – the stuff that adds quality to your life: your phone, your computer, your car, even the clothes on your back. The truth is, much of it was built in a foreign country and imported before it went up for sale here at home. A bachelor’s in international business will help you understand the complexity of international business operations. The program combines liberal arts and general business courses with foreign language and communication studies, and a semester abroad to set you on the path to become a qualified manager with an international perspective. You’ll learn how business is conducted both in and between different nations, while studying the effects financial systems, government policies, and cultural differences have on the global economy. You’ll understand how different IT tools help people communicate, manage data, and solve problems. You’ll dip into marketing, risk management, and insurance. And you’ll gain valuable insight in how to manage complexity in an international environment.

Clinical rotations must be taken in family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, women's health, behavioral medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine and two elective rotations. While the majority of your rotations will occur in Wisconsin, our Director of Clinical Education may work with you to pursue out-of-state options.
Your courses will delve into the realms of human anatomy, physical examination and history. You'll also cover pharmacology, physiology/pathophysiology, clinical skills, and issues in health care. The overarching theme of your education will be an emphasis on preventative medicine and primary care. That’s what we like to call a win/win.
It might be beneficial to first take a quick look at what to expect in this program: grueling two-a-days, endless ladders, extensive weight training … heck, you don’t even have to break a sweat earning this degree. Which isn’t to say the program is easy. Indeed, it’s challenging. But still, you catch the drift. You can pursue your goals through an undergraduate major or minor, the MBA concentration, or a professional certificate. Courses will focus on critical analysis, solution development, innovation, analytics, finance, teamwork development, leadership growth, and more.
How will you learn these crucial things? Through lectures, guest speakers, academic service learning, field experience, online/social media resources, and new technologies. So while the athletes are hitting the field, court, et al., working their butts off to make it to the next level, you’ll be setting yourself up for a long, successful career in sports and entertainment by hitting the books. Not bad.
