You’ll start with two foundational theatre years, then choose from three concentrations — Design and Technology, General Theatre, and Performance — where you’ll get to specialize in your interest areas and get deep experience to prepare you for your career.

Performance - Concentration
CSU Theatre's Performance Concentration equips students with the skills needed to pursue a variety of fields related to their own creative and professional paths. Engaged with their passion and imagination, young performers receive rigorous training in text analysis, acting technique, movement, voice and speech, emotional expression, and critical thinking. In the process of understanding theatre, they make visceral connections between the physical, emotional, and scholarly as they harness their own stories and artistic vision.

The concentration emphasizes both the theoretical and practical aspects of theatre, and focuses on developing well-rounded, responsible artists, leaders, and communicators who value collaboration within an artistic community.

The track will prepare students for ‌careers‌ ‌in‌ ‌a‌ ‌variety‌ ‌of‌ ‌governmental‌ ‌and‌ ‌non-governmental‌ ‌organizations,‌ ‌ranging‌ ‌from‌ ‌non-profits‌ ‌to‌ ‌advocacy‌ ‌groups‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌private‌ ‌sector.‌ It ‌will‌ ‌also‌ ‌serve‌ ‌students‌ ‌who‌ ‌plan‌ ‌to‌ ‌continue‌ ‌their education‌ ‌in‌ ‌professional‌ ‌schools‌ ‌or‌ ‌Ph.D.‌ ‌programs, or secondary school educators who would like to deepen their expertise in‌ ‌the‌ ‌humanities‌ ‌and‌ ‌social‌ sciences.‌

The Department of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship consists of foresters, range scientists, hydrologists, and social scientists that study natural environmental processes and how they interact with human systems.

These principles are not just exclusive to artists, but serve all students well, no matter where their career leads them. This program is offered by the LEAP Institute for the Arts, a special academic unit of Colorado State University’s College of Liberal Arts.

The Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology offers superior research programs with multi-disciplinary approaches and is home to some of the finest biomedical researchers in the nation, working in highly specialized laboratories. Their research focuses on understanding the pathology, improving the diagnostics, and developing more effective treatments, vaccines and cures for internationally important infectious diseases.

Marketing - Concentration
Every business, no matter how small, needs a comprehensive marketing strategy. Getting a message, product or movement in front of an audience takes research, commitment, and creative problem-solving. Marketing assembles all these assets and presents them in an engaging narrative that connects with people, attracts an engaged audience, and creates growth.

At the College of Business, you’ll be challenged to create lasting solutions to complex problems using the latest marketing methods. Our program connects you with faculty, industry leaders, and forward-thinking coursework, all designed to help you confidently enter the marketing field.

The International Studies major is an interdisciplinary program designed to help you explore and understand the nature of diverse cultures and peoples. You’ll learn a broad range of subjects, all of which contribute to a wide range of job prospects from government, academics, law and foreign service to communications, media, journalism, and beyond. Within the major, you’ll have multiple opportunities to travel, learn languages, and explore cultures around the world.

The International Studies major is an interdisciplinary program designed to help students understand the nature of diverse cultures and peoples. There are five concentrations: Asian Studies, European Studies, Global Studies, Latin American Studies, and Middle East and North African Studies. Courses are required in anthropology & geography, political science, economics, history, foreign language,and international studies, with other elective courses chosen from these and many more disciplines across the college and university.

The master’s degree specializing in marriage and family therapy is an accredited program that will prepare you to be a licensed marriage and family therapist. The coursework focuses on individual and family development, evidence-based clinical practices, ethics, and social justice. The program features live therapy sessions under the supervision of the faculty in the program that will prepare you for a career in private practice, health agencies, or to go on to doctoral studies.

The Environmental Politics and Policy track builds upon the Department of Political Science’s international reputation for excellence in the study of the natural environment across the traditional subfields of political science. As a land-grant University, CSU offers a wide variety of environmental programs that students can leverage for advancing their academic and career goals. This specialization enables students to pursue careers in the public, private, and non-profit sectors that require expertise in environmental issues and/or political and policy processes. It will also serve as a springboard for students interested in pursuing doctoral studies in environmental politics and policy.
