Following a first year foundations curriculum, students can choose a sequence within an individual studio. Within each sequence, faculty are actively engaged in introducing students to various technical skills and ideas specific to that discipline. The sequence introduces quality management tools to enhance customer and supplier relations, strategic planning, and measurement systems to improve overall organizational performance. Students will learn and apply quantitative analytical modeling techniques to solve decision problems and risk situations faced by project managers. In addition, an overview of six sigma data-driven decision making methodologies will be introduced to gain insights into advanced quality based industrial management techniques.

llinois State's ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD program) is a 2-year program that includes extensive coursework in the sciences, social sciences, management, and specialized courses covering the broad field of food, nutrition, and dietetics. All DPD students will need to complete an undergraduate professional practice experience as a program requirement.

The Didactic Program in Dietetics provides the first step for students planning to become a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) by preparing graduates for the required ACEND accredited dietetic internship.

Creative Technologies - Interdisciplinary Technologies
The interdisciplinary Creative Technologies major emphasizes design and practice in the integration of digital technologies and the fine arts.

In addition to foundational study across the fine arts, the major provides training and experiences across a range of creative/technical fields, including:

Allied Health Professions
Exercise Science is the study of movement and the associated functional responses and adaptations the body makes as a result of movement/exercise. The Allied Health Professions (AHP) sequence gives you a well-rounded foundation in areas of Exercise Science, including physiology, biomechanics, and sports psychology.

AHP also offers advanced science coursework to prepare you for graduate studies in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant.

Students pursuing the Master of Music in Conducting are given extensive podium time and are mentored by dedicated and active conducting faculty. Upon graduation students are prepared to:

• Seek their doctoral degree
• Conduct school, church or community ensembles
• Conduct at a community college or university

The curriculum includes:

• Practicum in conducting
• Electives chosen from courses like non-degree recitals, music technology, music history, music theory, music education, music therapy, music business, jazz studies, ensembles, and non-music courses

The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences offers a Master of Science or Master of Arts degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a sequence in Human Development and Family Science. This sequence is most appropriate for individuals interested in careers in human development and/or family science who have a human/child development and family science degree or related undergraduate degrees such as psychology, sociology, and social work.

Career opportunities for graduates are in the areas of parent and family education agencies, non-profit organizations, community outreach services, residential- and child-care facilities, and other related areas. Positions could include working as case managers, program coordinators, family/parent educators, and administrators.

Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication
The Communication Studies - Organizational and Leadership Communication sequence enhances communication knowledge, understanding, and skills for enhancing organizational relationships. The goal of this sequence is to equip the student to successfully use communication as a tool to enhance organizational outcomes. Students will gain an understanding of how communication processes can be used to manage behaviors in an organizational context while becoming a competent communicator.
