The pursuit of a Bachelor of Music in Performance with an emphasis in the Harpsichord provides students with a rigorous course of study. Classwork includes topics that range from the technical (piano, methodology, aural skills) to the cultural (history of music in the 20th century), all of which deepen students' understanding of music as a whole. The internationally recognized faculty at the Fred Fox School of Music offers highly individualized instruction as well as master classes where students are encouraged to collaborate. Students are presented with numerous performance opportunities in our two beautiful concert halls, and beyond.

Are you a practicing paramedic seeking your four-year degree? Consider the Emergency Medical Services program to bolster your training. The Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the University of Arizona's College of Medicine is designed for certified paramedics who are practicing at the state or national level. Students majoring in EMS will gain advanced training in leadership and critical care for both adult and pediatric patients from courses taught by experienced emergency medicine and EMS physicians. They'll expand their knowledge in EMS systems, disaster response, special operations, EMS medical and legal concerns, and EMS care in rural, wilderness and other limited-resource settings. This fully online program is designed to accommodate working paramedics and learners who are outside of Arizona or deployed. This program requires paramedic certification; an associate degree from community college is not required.

The Bachelor of Music in Performance with a Harp emphasis invites students to study with peers from across the globe. At the Fred Fox School of Music, students enjoy close interaction with the esteemed faculty, all of whom are artists in their own right and who've performed at the world's greatest concert halls and received numerous accolades as musicians. Students can audition for the Harp Studio, which offers weekly private lessons, a studio class, the study of harp pedagogy, orchestral coaching, mock auditions and master classes with guest artists. Students can take advantage of opportunities to arrange, compose, record and tour with HarpFusion. Upon graduation, students are equipped for roles as performing artists, teachers, administrators and music scholars.

The Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with an emphasis in Human Biology helps students forge a path in various roles in the fields of human and animal medicine: doctor, nurse, midwife, veterinarian, zoologist. As a science degree, coursework includes classes such as biology and chemistry. In its most basic form, the study of anthropology centers on the question of what it means to be human. Students not only acquire the science-based skills of conducting research and engaging in critical thinking, but they also learn to communicate cross-culturally and understand contemporary social issues and and in one of the top anthropology programs in the country.

The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Plant Systems has four tracks; students in the Fresh Produce Safety track advance the latest methods for maintaining the safety of food one of the most important resources on Earth. In this Yuma-based program, students discover how production chains become contaminated with diseases, and learn Good Agricultural Practices for the harvest of leafy greens and fresh-vegetable food safety. Coursework provides insight into food safety issues, field risk assessments, facility sanitation and inspection processes. Students gain real-life experience in the applications of soil, water and plant sciences, including soil chemistry, plant nutrition and hydroponics.

Master the skills of visual storytelling and online data mining to stay ahead in the fast-paced world of digital media. The Bachelor of Arts with a Digital Journalism emphasis provides students with a solid foundation in journalism reporting and ethics while helping them develop the digital skills they need to excel in the world of online reporting. Journalism students learn to gather information, interview subjects, analyze the content, distill it and then communicate to an audience effectively, accurately, quickly and ethically. Student seeking a Digital Journalism emphasis also hone advanced skills ranging from media entrepreneurship and app development to visual storytelling and data mining that further prepare them for this rapidly evolving field. A second major or a minor in a specialized field, such as political science, religion or Middle Eastern studies, is required.

The study of American Indians and Alaska Natives establishes an understanding of the relationship between these communities and the U.S., and it sets the groundwork for a career in public policy, government and private business. Students in the Bachelor of Arts in American Indian Studies program explore history, cultural traditions (oral histories, literature, arts) and tribal governments. Students also learn the languages and examine the critical social and political issues in these communities. This holistic approach to studying the diverse native cultures in North America helps students develop a broad-reaching perspective of these important groups. Community service-oriented internships enhance coursework.

Communities are always in need of individuals who have expertise on how to make learning accessible for all. Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Literacy, Learning and Leadership fill lead roles in a wide range of fields, including volunteer programming, nonprofit work, youth services, and community education and outreach.
