The pursuit of a Bachelor of Music in Performance with an emphasis in the Harpsichord provides students with a rigorous course of study. Classwork includes topics that range from the technical (piano, methodology, aural skills) to the cultural (history of music in the 20th century), all of which deepen students' understanding of music as a whole. The internationally recognized faculty at the Fred Fox School of Music offers highly individualized instruction as well as master classes where students are encouraged to collaborate. Optional Practical Training or OPT is a period during which students, who have completed their degrees in the USA, are permitted to work for one year on a student visa by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). OPT allows students to work for up to 3 years and develop real-world skills to survive in the competitive jobs market.
It is temporary employment for a period of 12-months that is directly related to the major area of study of an F-1 student. Eligible students have the option to apply for OPT employment authorization before completing their academic studies and/or after completing their academic studies.

To get a play from page to stage takes the creativity of a whole team of behind-the-scenes players. This program helps you cultivate your craft as a costume designer, tech director, stage manager and more. The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Production with an emphasis in Design and Technical Production offers comprehensive training for students who seek careers in the professional theatre. This training includes a balance of academic study of theatre and practical production experience in one or more of three performance spaces. Students select from seven areas of focus: costume design, costume production, lighting design and production, stage management, sound design, scenic design, and technical direction. Classes provide hands-on, real-world, practical application of skills through onstage productions throughout the duration of the program. Students study with acclaimed faculty members who are actively working professionally in the field.

In addition to a Bachelor of Arts in Education, students in the two-year program also earn an Elementary Certificate K-8 with a bilingual endorsement in English and Spanish. During the program, students split time between the University of Arizona and a local K-8 school.
