If you have a strong interest in finance and analyzing information, consider majoring in Accounting in the University of Arizona's high-ranking Eller College of Management. Accountants compile, analyze and report financial data. Students wishing to earn their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting must apply to the Eller College of Management, a separate process from admissions to the University of Arizona. Undergraduates must complete 21 accounting units and 30 professional core units. In their final semester, along with taking four required accounting courses, students immerse themselves in a capstone experience that's unique to them. Accounting students can apply for several scholarships to support their journey through higher education. Graduates go on to find work with corporations, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and accounting firms.

The Bachelor of Music in Performance major with a Composition emphasis prepares student composers to meet the challenges and opportunities of an ever-changing profession. The Fred Fox School of Music offers coursework in which students receive intensive private instruction in music composition in traditional and electro-acoustic media from award-winning faculty members. In addition, students take classes in music theory, improvisation, music history, orchestration and conducting. The faculty strives to provide students with a fundamental understanding of the aesthetics of musical design and the operations of creators, performers and listeners as they use music to shape their world.

Religion has been a central force in world history, and it continues to play a powerful role in the human experience. The Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies provides students with a broad understanding of human diversity, the complexities of social and cultural systems of thought, and the human pursuit of meaning. The Global Political and Economy emphasis examines the mechanisms of order and disorder, and cooperation and conflict among humans. Gender and Women's Studies is an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts that works to contest historical, ongoing and pervasive oppression based on gender, race, sexuality, class, ability and citizenship. Students can opt for an emphasis in Chicana and Latina Studies, a course of study that works with the Gender and Women's Studies department's prestigious Southwest Institute for Research on Women (SIROW). Established in 1979, SIROW develops research-action projects of importance to women in the Southwestern U.S. and the Mexico-U.S. border regions. The Gender and Women's Studies department, founded in 1975 and led by a renowned faculty, stands at the forefront of feminist research and curriculum.

In today's digital world, where information is disseminated in seconds, a journalist's role is that of truth-seeker for the masses. The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in Global Journalism equips students for careers in national and international news reporting. In addition to learning the building blocks of good journalism (law, ethics, information gathering, effective and accurate communication), they also explore the complex and sensitive nuances of reporting on and about diverse cultures and foreign countries. A second major or a minor in a specialized field, such as political science, religion or Middle Eastern studies, is required. If you have a strong drive and entrepreneurial spirit, set your aspirations on the highly lauded, one-year New Venture Development Program.  Students wishing to add a second major to another course of study at the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management have the option of applying to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship. The New Venture Development Program at the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship offers selected students a one-year immersion curriculum during their senior year. In collaboration with their peers and with entrepreneurs serving as mentors, students build a new venture from the ground up and hone their entrepreneurial and business leadership skill set in the process. Ranked in the nation's top 10 programs, the B.S.B.A. in Entrepreneurship is highly selective, and accepted students graduate with a competitive edge.
