Our planet is more than meets the eye. Explore Earth from its origin and history to its components and how they interact with each other. Students who select the Bachelor of Science in Geosciences with a Geology emphasis take an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the planet. In this top-ranked program, students learn scientific research skills; gain experience working with data and technology in the field and in the laboratory; and study the Earth's origin and history, as well as the planet's components and how they interact with one another. Geology students participate in a Capstone Summer Field Camp in the later part of their program that provides hands-on experience applying their content knowledge in the field. Graduates pursue careers in research, energy, mineral resources, academia and more.

The 2D emphasis in the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art asks students to specialize in one of two areas: Painting & Drawing, or Printmaking. Students develop skills in their specialization through courses that advance contemporary and historical awareness of the discipline. Faculty members from Painting, Drawing and Printmaking are committed to interdisciplinary approaches. Students enjoy printmaking facilities offering traditional and technologically based processes, and can use oil, acrylic and dry media in the painting and drawing facilities. Elective courses provide students with a chance to explore subjects inside and outside their areas of emphasis, such as collage, installation and watercolor.

Psychology is the study of the mind and how it influences actions. Students earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology learn about individual behavior and that of society as a whole. Coursework includes the study of development, learning, personality, memory, perception, consciousness, sexuality, love, spirituality and more. The Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art embraces a workshop-structured approach to coursework, which is designed as an experiential initiation into professional artistic practice, creative methodology and studio work ethic. Students make art, discuss how and what art communicates to others, and learn strategies to sharpen the connection been an art object and its meanings. Faculty members work closely with students from the generation of an idea through the realization of the object. Integrated projects, rather than isolated design exercises, encourage personal investment. The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with the Ethics emphasis trains students to approach philosophical exploration with the rigor of analytic thinking, which goes beyond casual discussions based on opinion. Philosophy majors critically examine questions such as, ""How can I know for sure if what I believe is true?"" ""What sort of society is best?"" or ""Is morality whatever society says it is?"" Immerse yourself in the Spanish language while learning various cultures through the ages via Hispanic the Literature emphasis. Students seeking their Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a Hispanic Literature emphasis will take language courses in both Spanish and Portuguese while studying Hispanic literature. Outside of the classroom, students hone their Spanish language conversation skills in Spanish Club or their Portuguese-speaking skills in Bate Papo. Various study abroad programs through the University of Arizona provide Spanish majors the opportunity for additional language and cultural immersion, adding to their undergraduate experience.

The program provides instruction in the languages, cultures, and civilizations of East Asia (China, Japan, and Korea); Asian humanities and religions; and Asian-American studies. Individual programs may emphasize the language, linguistics, literature, history, thought, religion, and society (ancient or modern) of more than one cultural area (China, Japan, or Korea). Students may specialize in the East Asian region or one or more discipline-focused studies of East Asian subjects. Advanced study of Chinese, Japanese, or Korean is required.

Corporations, organizations, governments and communities need public health leaders to focus on planning, management and administration. The University of Arizona's Bachelor of Science with a major in Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health. The Health Systems Theory and Practice emphasis is one of several concentrations within the major. Students in this emphasis take courses in health economics and policy, public health law and ethics, healthcare marketing, and strategic planning.
