Public health professionals design and implement programs to ensure all communities have access to crucial health services and safe living conditions. Be an agriscience teacher in the dynamic field of agriculture by educating the innovators and leaders of the future. The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Technology Management and Education aims to discover solutions to the world's social, environmental, economic and resource challenges. Students who opt for the teaching emphasis prepare for a career in agricultural education in grades 9-12 and as FFA advisers, and also enjoy opportunities to educate the public in informal settings. The B.S. degree coursework runs the gamut from basic sciences - plant, soil and animal - to agricultural mechanics and the principles of the teaching-learning process. The program concludes with a 14-week student teaching internship at a cooperating center in Arizona.

The Bachelor of Arts in German Studies is designed to familiarize students with the German language and the cultures and histories of German-speaking communities. Designated a German Center of Excellence by the American Association of Teachers of German, the German Studies department provides students with a diverse education. Students acquire language proficiency in German and a broad background in German culture, history and literary studies. Political science is the study of government, public policy and the political behavior of individuals and groups. The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science program helps students cultivate clear and strong communication skills (writing, argumentation and presentation) as well as analytical abilities. The faculty bring a breadth of experience and depth of expertise to coursework, teaching students how the preservation and adaptation of historic structures advances environmental, cultural and economic sustainability. Students learn the processes and protocols of conservation as well as current issues in historic preservation and resource management. Graduates are prepared for careers as managers at nonprofit organizations, leaders of government agencies, and consultants in heritage conservation and historic preservation.

If you have a strong interest in finance and analyzing information, consider majoring in Accounting in the University of Arizona's high-ranking Eller College of Management. Accountants compile, analyze and report financial data. Students wishing to earn their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting must apply to the Eller College of Management, a separate process from admissions to the University of Arizona. Undergraduates must complete 21 accounting units and 30 professional core units. In their final semester, along with taking four required accounting courses, students immerse themselves in a capstone experience that's unique to them.
