Engineering Management-M.S.
The Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) program, established in 1982, is a multidisciplinary graduate degree program for engineers and individuals with technical backgrounds who want to advance into management and executive roles. The MSEM program helps develop technical management skills by combining qualitative approaches and quantitative techniques in a balanced curriculum, which strengthens engineering credentials and develops managerial competence. Engineering leaders must be well versed in current technical alternatives and possess the managerial skills necessary to oversee enterprises and ensure their profitability. These leaders make key decisions where engineering insight is also an invaluable ingredient for success.

Music Composition-M.M.

They are featured on many professional recordings and appear in prestigious concert venues around the world. Their compositions are premiered globally. Their scholarship is published in the leading research journals, books, and monographs in their disciplines. The School of Music also invites guest composers, conductors, and performing musicians to enhance its performances and to provide master classes, symposia, and clinics for students and the public. Many USF music alumni are currently performers in a variety of concert settings and successful teachers in public schools, colleges, and universities around the country in a variety of concert settings. The School of Music at USF offers the student the opportunity to study with distinguished faculty and to be in the company of other superior music students for an exciting and exacting period of study.

The field of learning technology is growing rapidly in higher education, industry, and k-12 settings. Nearly all major companies, government agencies, school districts, and universities and colleges, are actively recruiting their own learning technology experts. The M.S. in Learning Design and Technology has a foundation in E-learning with focus opportunities. The major is designed to provide a comprehensive curriculum and intensive training to prepare students for the job market of today and emerging fields of tomorrow in K-12 schools, higher education, industry, and military or other governmental agencies where the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online learning, game-based learning, cybersecurity education, and learning analytics take place.

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (M.S. in A.T.) major is built around 60 credit hours of required coursework to satisfy the eligibility requirements for the students to sit for the Board of Certification examination.

The Sociology M.A. provides a foundation in a broad range of sociological theories and research methods and an opportunity for pursuing specialized interests in elective Sociology courses, courses in other departments, and thesis research. Many of our M.A. recipients continue in a sociology Ph.D. Others teach in secondary schools and junior colleges, are employed in mental health services and research, in human resources management, and government organizations, or work as research consultants and market analysts.

Graphic Arts with Illustration Concentration
The Graphic Arts degree offers students a sequence of rigorous courses that balance critical thinking and pragmatic experience, complemented by the enriched experience of the liberal arts environment of the University of South Florida.

Graphic artists develop the images that give voice to the world around us. Using their raw materials - the ability to think, draw, write, speak and design - students learn the skills to solve specific visual problems. The study of typography, design concepts, and digital technology develops an understanding of the tradition, practice, and process of graphic design.

This program guides students in building the imagination, aesthetic sensitivity, and powers of critical thought required to succeed as visual communicators. The curriculum emphasizes expertise in image development, typography, print and screen-based graphics, and interactive design. The program prepares students for the rigor of professional design practice through an internship program, courses in production, and portfolio development. Additionally, students design, organize and promote an exhibition of their final senior project.

The B.S. in Quantitative Economics and Econometrics is a baccalaureate degree focusing on the more analytical and applied aspects of economics, including forecasting, program and business evaluation, benefit/cost analysis and economic impact analysis.

Through its curriculum and production program, students have the opportunity to prepare for a professional career in the theatre or to continue their studies at the graduate level. Our exclusively undergraduate program boasts intensive studies in the disciplines of performance, design and theatre arts as well as a close working relationship with our nationally and internationally recognized faculty.

This program has been certified as a Global Pathway. Global Pathway programs have significant global content and align with the goals of USF’s Quality Enhancement Plan, the Global Citizens Project. Students in Global Pathway programs are well positioned to earn the Global Citizen Award and become eligible to apply for a study abroad scholarship offered by the Global Citizens Project.

The Bachelor of Arts in World Languages and Cultures offers students a solid foundation in language and linguistic skills, as well as knowledge of diverse cultures. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to interact and participate in a global environment.
