The Department of Aerospace Engineering offers both a thesis and non-thesis Master of Science, which provide students an opportunity to sharpen their skills in aerospace system design, development, manufacturing, maintenance, and operation. The Master of Science in Chemical Engineering is oriented toward engineering design and practice. Some of the specialties students will study include surface science, biochemical engineering, catalysis, pulp and paper engineering, environmental engineering, waste conversion, computer-aided process design and simulation, novel bioseparations systems, chemical kinetics, and reactor design.

The HOSP curriculum offers a variety of courses and unique experiential learning opportunities designed to prepare our graduates to pursue successful management and/or entrepreneurial opportunities in the hotel/lodging, restaurant, event planning, culinary, country club, foodservice or beverage industries.

The Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRMG) option is designed to prepare students for careers in the premium service segment of the lodging and food service industries. This sector spans both the commercial and non-commercial aspects of the broader hospitality industry and presents itself as a key contributor to the economic wellbeing of the state of Alabama and the nation. Community Planning is a profession that offers a wide range of opportunities for people with many different talents and aspirations. Planning is concerned with the use of land, protection of the environment, public welfare, the design of public spaces and infrastructure, and the economy. The Community Planning program at Auburn University is a professionally oriented, master's degree program. Applied mathematics is a branch of mathematics that deals with mathematical methods that find use in science, engineering, business, computer science, and industry. Thus, applied mathematics is a combination of mathematical science and specialized knowledge. The term "applied mathematics" also describes the professional specialty in which mathematicians work on practical problems by formulating and studying mathematical models. In the past, practical applications have motivated the development of mathematical theories, which then became the subject of study in pure mathematics where abstract concepts are studied for their own sake. The activity of applied mathematics is thus intimately connected with research in pure mathematics.

The Global Studies in Human Sciences curriculum is designed to educate students on relevant global issues, the realities of globalization and how local and global issues are interconnected. Through required course work in the major and minor field, students will gain first-hand experience and be prepared for professional careers in the global studies field as it relates to human sciences.

The Global Studies in Human Sciences major draws on content relevant to human sciences (e.g., international nutrition, hunger and food insecurity, microlending and entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, maternal and child health, education of women and girls, global markets, goods and services, humanitarian aid and social policy) as well as the faculty expertise of the Dean’s administrative team and the three departments in the College.

Auburn's NASAD accredited Bachelor of Industrial Design Program is ranked in the top ten nationally and is known for product innovations, point of purchase design, marketing design, commercial environments and branding. Industry-sponsored collaborations and international experience are core strength of this nine-semester program which leads to a Bachelor of Industrial Design degree.

Our School of Fisheries, Aquaculture & Aquatic Sciences is the one of the world’s premier warm-water fisheries programs. As a student majoring in fisheries, aquaculture and aquatic sciences, you’ll receive a strong foundation in chemistry, mathematics and biology while learning how to apply these subjects to managing fresh and saltwater aquatic resources.

This degree will equip you with an understanding of the principles used in solving problems with aquatic resources and the awareness to provide safe, reliable food through aquaculture production. Graduates of this program are also prepared for veterinary medicine and other professional and graduate schools.
