The Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership (ILED) prepares licensed teachers to become effective and democratic instructional leaders in diverse school environments. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to add either the principal or teacher leader endorsement to their Illinois teaching licenses.

The BSBA in Management prepares students to become managers in a wide variety of settings. There are many types of management positions in small, medium or large organizations within industry, government or service fields. The management major at Roosevelt University prepares you to succeed in these various settings whether it be your own start-up business, a small or large organization, or a non-profit. In all of our course work, we teach you about management from both practical and ethical standpoints. Your course work will include studies in finance, accounting, human resources, marketing, business law and information systems, as well as more specific management areas such as operations management, social entrepreneurship and organizational behavior.

The Bachelor of Musical Arts degree is an interdisciplinary program with intentional curricular flexibility. It is designed for the student with a strong academic background who wishes to combine the study of music with an emphasis in a second field outside music. Students' programs are individualized according to their interests and culminate in a senior project that melds their work in music with their second discipline.

Established in 1984 to serve and support Chicago's number one industry, the Manfred Steinfeld undergraduate program is a premier four-year hospitality program in Illinois. Named for Manfred Steinfeld, the program's benefactor and chairman and former CEO of Shelby Williams Industries, the Roosevelt program seeks to produce leaders and innovators in hospitality and tourism management. With Chicago as our campus, the curriculum is implemented by an experienced faculty and staff from the nation's hospitality, event planning and tourism industries. Students include a lively mix of entering freshmen, transfer students and a representative international population.

Sociology, like the other social sciences, focuses on human behavior and what it means to be human in constantly evolving social interactions that are part of personal identity, group behavior, and collective action. What distinguishes sociology is its emphasis on social structure as a means of analyzing and interpreting behavior, and the systematic study of the development, structures, institutions, and patterns of social interaction. A degree in sociology provides students with analytical skills, the ability to design research projects, and real insight into the human condition that can lead to successful careers in nonprofit organizations, social services, public services, education, government, sales, marketing, and administrative management. The BA in Sociology also prepares students for graduate study in sociology, as well as law, psychology, social work, and medicine.

As the world becomes more reliant on internet-based technologies, there is high demand for professionals trained in information security. Roosevelt’s Bachelor of Science in Cyber and Information Security program is designated a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Bachelor of Science in Biology prepares students for jobs in the biotechnology industry, including pharmaceutical companies, university research laboratories, medical research centers, forensic laboratories, museums and government agencies such as the EPA, OSHA, FDA, IDNR, and the Department of Agriculture. It also prepares students to teach biology at the secondary level, with additional course work from the College of Education, and for admission to graduate health professional programs such as medical, dental, veterinary and optometry schools; physician assistant, physical therapy, and nurse practitioner training; and graduate programs in the life sciences.

The Master's of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) prepares students to help children and adults cope with difficult life events such as physical illness, death of loved ones, and relationship problems or divorce. It also shows students how to diagnose and manage serious mental illnesses and obtain resources and support. The intensive, field-based curriculum prepares every candidate to work democratically with diverse individuals and families. The program satisfies academic requirements for licensure as a professional counselor and clinical professional counselor in the State of Illinois. It also meets the academic requirements for national certification in mental health counseling (CCMHC) and for national counselor certification (NCC).
