Environmental biology is a dynamic and growing major which prepares students with the scientific background needed to understand and address the many pressing environmental concerns that exist in the modern world. Our program emphasizes experiential learning and creates opportunities for students to get out of the class room into nature.

As a UD Middle Childhood Education/Intervention Specialist major, you'll learn the knowledge and skills necessary to educate and support children in their transition from childhood to early adolescence. You'll specialize in two areas of concentration, choosing from mathematics, reading/language arts, science, and social studies. You'll also earn a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) certificate. A STEM lab and Curriculum Materials Center are among the numerous resources available to students.

Graduates are prepared to assess client needs and design and facilitate individualized therapeutic music experiences in composing, listening, improvising and performing. An integral part of the curriculum is supervised clinical service to individuals and groups in a variety of community settings, including skilled nursing care, early intervention programs, substance use rehabilitation and special needs classrooms.

Students gain technical and conceptual skills in the field of photography, with opportunities to collaborate across a wide range of fields and disciplines within the art world and beyond.
