The Secondary Education program prepares students to work in grades 7-12. Graduates of the Secondary Education program earn a Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S. Ed.) with certification in one subject area (listed below). Supplemental certification may be added in English as a Second Language.

The Supply Chain Management major (designated as a pre-major) prepares students to manage activities involved in the creation of goods and services. Students develop the ability to apply problem-solving tools related to productivity improvement, quality control, production scheduling, and materials management.  They are also able to present an integrated top-management view of the entire operations function. Courses help students prepare for professional certifications in Supply Management (CPSM) and Project Management (PMP).  Available courses include:

There is a wide choice of career options for graduates.The Supply Chain Management major will open the door to numerous career opportunities in procurement, materials management, purchasing, vendor management, customer relationship management, integrated supply liaison, quality assurance, project management, traffic management, logistics, systems analysis, scheduling, consulting and training.

Studio Art
Today’s ever expanding visual world is in increasing need of educated, visually trained professionals, whether as designers, teachers, artists, museum professionals, consultants, or for the many other professions that require creativity, visual acuity, and problem solving skills.

To meet these increasing needs the Baylor University Department of Art offers students both a BA or BFA (the professional undergraduate degree) in Studio Art with separate concentrations in seven area:

• Printmaking
• Sculpture

International Business is a second major and must be combined with another business major.  The major applies the basics taught within the general business school, but in the framework of a global setting. Coursework prepares students for positions of leadership in a dynamic environment of global production, exchange, information and finance. Available courses include:

Career opportunities are available for International Business majors in almost any field. Positions are most common in multinational markets, government agencies and business consulting firms, as well as energy industries and banking.

The Physical Education major prepares students for teaching or coaching grades K-12. This degree program satisfies the requirements for the Texas Teachers Certification and prepares students to teach grades K-12 with an emphasis in coaching in either a private or a public school setting. The Baylor Education program offers a unique opportunity for students planning to teach upon graduation. The German major enables students to become fluent in written and spoken German. German is spoken throughout all Europe. Knowing German can enhance your career opportunities, especially in the areas of international business, foreign service, international transportation, communication and finance. In addition, German is particularly useful if you plan to study theology, music, psychology, philosophy, history or any of the natural sciences. Available courses include:

Music Theory
The Theory major in the School of Music is for students who wish to concentrate their study on the theory of music. Students will conduct research under mentors, faculty members who are active in academic discourse on the national and international level.  Areas of study include:

The Accounting major (designated as a pre-major) consists of a strong technical foundation in financial accounting. It also involves training in written and oral communication development, teamwork, and critical thinking. The Accounting major prepares students for careers in accounting, auditing, budgeting, computer systems, financial management and taxation. Courses include:

Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation
Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation program is designated as a pre-major.  The program develops students' knowledge of the entrepreneurial process.  It also develops the technical tools and techniques required in various ventures. Several publications have recognized the strengths of the program with awards and recognitions.  These publications include U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine. Students may also pursue a Social Entrepreneurship Track.  Available courses include:

The program pairs with companies to provide summer and semester internships. The Hankamer School of Business offers student exchange and study abroad programs.  The program offers a few study abroad opportunities unique to the program.

Astrophysics
Astrophysics is the branch of Astronomy that deals with the physics of space. It includes the physical properties of space objects (like planets, starts, galaxies and comets) as well as their interactions. Astrophysics includes many other disciplines from physics, such as electromagnetism, relativity, mechanics, and atomic and molecular physics. The Astrophysics major is offered as either a Bachelor of Science (BS) or a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Available courses include:

• Intermediate Classical Mechanics
• Intermediate Electricity and Magnetism
• Introduction to Modern Cosmology

 The BA in Astrophysics provides a traditional liberal arts education with a solid set of core courses in astrophysics.
