Mathematics Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
Sure, two plus two is four. But if you’re here, you’re probably interested in exploring what’s beyond math’s basics. And your options are endless: statistics, calculus, geometry, abstract algebra, topology, differential equations and many more! Dig deeper into the incredible body of knowledge that constitutes mathematics by earning your degree in the field.

Having trouble choosing just one degree? Apply your chemistry knowledge to high-level math courses, creating a unique concentration that will doubly serve you in your field of work.

Software engineering is your ticket to the career path of your choosing. Software is present in most technology we use every day, so it's no surprise that people with software development skills are in high demand. Our program will expose you to the theory and practical aspect of software development in a Christian context.

We developed our applied biochemistry curriculum to give you exactly what you need to excel. Our dedicated faculty will prepare you for admission to competitive health-related professional schools — without advanced mathematics. Many of our applied biochemistry graduates are flourishing medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists or physician assistants. Others have found success in industry or graduate study within chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or microbiology.

Dive deep into big data within biological science. Our rigorous curriculum will prepare you for a career in data-intensive biological sciences. So we've created a program to help you build a foundation in justice so you can do exactly that. We know legal change is one of the best ways to effect social change, so we'll make sure you gain a strong understanding of America's legal system. Work with a prominent civil rights attorney in Tuskegee, Alabama. You'll visit Washington, D.C. for an introduction of American law. Learn from real-life experiences with an internship. Take a semester abroad. And later, you'll even travel to five European countries as you learn about law in the global community.

Forensic Science Emphasis (Chemistry major - applied)
You'll be well connected to alumni in the field of forensic sciences. What we teach will qualify you to work in a crime laboratory, or get a job in drug testing. Our faculty have decades of experience in web technologies, security systems and more.

We'll guide you into broadening your skill in web design, web content development, client liaison, client-side/server-side scripting, in addition to web server and network security configuration.  Web development can range from developing the simplest static plain text pages to complex Web-based internet applications, electronic commerce sites and social network services. We will help you learn to track current trends and best practices to enable you to be effective in your career.

You'll have access to our historic archive including Halston, a world-renowned designer. Our collection includes historic garments from every decade since 1890 — including designer clothes.

Our restorative criminal justice major integrates the values of Christ with a deeper knowledge of crime and justice. Let us help you gain a hands-on understanding of restorative approaches to due process. You'll analyze social and psychological theories of crime and society with our expert faculty. You'll learn with incarcerated students in classes at the Tennessee Prison for Women as part of our nationally-recognized Lipscomb Initiative for Education (LIFE).

Let us teach you a holistic approach to achieving accountability and healing relationships. Within our restorative criminal justice major, you'll study criminal justice practices rather than law enforcement implementation. You'll plan ways to positively address harm caused by illegal actions. By the time you graduate, you'll be uniquely prepared for your career or graduate work in many options including law, social work and theology.

Restorative criminal justice holds that "crime" is a violation of human relationships. It believes that all stakeholders (offender, victims, and community) in the offense should have a voice in the process of making things as right as possible.

Restorative criminal justice does not reject punishment but does embrace a holistic approach to achieving accountability. This interdisciplinary major embraces the holistic approach.
