The Master of Science program, leading to the M.S. degree, gives the student a broad base of fundamental theory and concentrated study in a particular area of specialization. This program is designed for the student who either desires a career in industry or government or wants to pursue further graduate study. Each student does experimental or theoretical research in an area of interest and writes a thesis.

International business programs prepare you to work in the global business environment and the challenges such an environment provides. Program Outcomes
When you complete the program, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in international business. The first two years ground students in the essential, concrete skills needed as business students while the final two years focus on international skills

Human resource management focuses on the people and the activities of organizations that affect the behaviors of its employees. Managers and employees knowledgeable in human resource topics are critical to ensuring organizations and businesses attract, motivate, and retain a qualified, effective workforce.

The human resource management major provides advanced training if you are seeking upper-level human resources positions. Advanced human resource professionals are detail-oriented, have excellent people skills, and strong social and emotional awareness. Crime and justice studies (CJS) is an interdisciplinary and incredibly varied field of study. Knowledge specific to the discipline relies upon research from fields as varied as sociology, law, history, psychology, and political science. It encompasses analysis of federal, state, and local entities that seek to understand, control, and deter crime. The principal agencies charged with these responsibilities are law enforcement, the judiciary, and corrections. More fundamentally, however, crime and justice studies examines questions of social justice—concerns related to equality, fairness, freedom, security, and social order. If you are interested in understanding the causes, responses, and consequences of crime for the individual as well as the larger society, consider this program.

Crime and justice studies is a liberal arts degree and therefore, our focus is on providing you with a well-rounded, critically engaged, and scientifically informed understanding of the field. While practical experience is a vital component of our curriculum, our larger mission is that, when you graduate, you will be an innovator and leader in your chosen occupations and will utilize scientific reasoning and sharply honed analytical skills on your path to success. You will be prepared for positions in a variety of occupations, including local and federal law enforcement, probation and parole, civil, criminal and juvenile courts, research, corrections, teaching, forensics, and a variety of other fields.

While crime and justice studies is an exciting and challenging major, it is not for everyone. Unfortunately, if you have a prior criminal record or a drug or alcohol dependency it will be difficult for you to obtain employment in the field once you graduate. Further, it is a field that generally requires not only keen analytic and technical skills but also the ability to empathize, establish strong interpersonal boundaries, and, most importantly, maintain fundamental respect for the rights and dignity of others.

The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences offers two master’s degree programs-the Master of Science and Master of Science in Teaching (Earth Science). The Master of Science program prepares students for careers as professional earth scientists in industry, government, or education, or for continued graduate study. Current research focus areas of the department include Aquatic Biogeochemistry, Hydrogeology, Geophysics, Geospatial Analysis and Remote Sensing, Complex Earth Processes, Paleoecology and Sedimentary Environments, and Earth Science Education. The department is widely recognized for its applied and multidisciplinary programs and maintains a strong emphasis on practical field applications.

Businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies require people skilled in supply chain management to coordinate the flow of materials, finances, and information within and between companies. Supply chain management specialists improve service for customers while reducing costs for employers and you will study the strategies that make business, nonprofits, and governments competitive within a global economy.

Supply chain management graduates have a high chance of placement in an internship or job immediately after graduation and the skills learned as part of your degree will make you competitive for increasingly important positions. If you complete this program, you will graduate with a Bachelor in Business with a major in supply chain management. In this program, you will get a broad education in core business skills such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, and operations management along with emphasizing effective management of production and service operations. You will study concepts and strategies that help businesses and organization stay competitive in the world economy, including management tools and analytic techniques, such as forecasting, purchasing, and logistics, inventory management, production scheduling, and quality manufacturing practices.

Our program covers three primary areas: basic problem solving and data analysis tools, major concepts and strategies for managing people, materials, and production resources, and the integration of the supply function into overall business or organizational strategy. This program will prepare you to work in supply chain management jobs and careers or to continue your education with a graduate or doctoral degree.

Computer scientists do not just design software for computers. They work with the software and software systems that allow the day-to-day use of any computing system. Concepts and theory are the focus of this major.
