A financial services degree will give you the analytical skills needed to deliver advice and financial products to individuals and institutions. Our curriculum gives you a strong foundation in all aspects of personal financial management and is designed to meet the growing need for graduates who are knowledgeable in all relevant areas.

The financial services program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board and nearly every graduate of the program is placed in an appropriate internship or job opportunity after graduation.

Program Outcomes
If you complete the program, you will graduate with a Bachelor in Business with a major in financial services. Core coursework focuses on all areas of personal financial management, including investments, insurance, tax planning, retirement planning, real estate, estate planning, and personal financial planning. If you complete the financial services major and the relevant elective classes, you will be eligible to sit for the CFP exam.

The MS in Marketing Analytics and Insights (MS MAI) program is designed to provide graduate students with a strong base in marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and especially marketing analysis and insights. The program will provide students with the fundamental skills and tools to extract and analyze marketing data, and the opportunity to generate real-world interpretation, insights, and recommendations.

Program Outcomes

• Knowledge of the strategic role of marketing in organizations, including the key role of a marketing plan;
• Understanding of influences on consumer attitudes, beliefs, and, most importantly, their actions and decision processes;
• Ability to analyze marketing and financial data, formulate strategies and implement decisions;
• Ability to design a research study, collect data, and analyze data by using focus groups, primary data, secondary data and web data;
• Awareness of online marketing methods and how to use hands-on tools to increase meaningful web traffic;
• Hands-on, computer-based experience with marketing analytical tools to generate insights and marketing decisions that create value and build competitive advantage;
• Ability to apply “big data” analytic methodologies such as predictive analytics, data mining, text and other big data related technologies;
• Experience working with a real dataset to conduct a thorough data analysis, yielding insightful interpretations and proposed recommendations suitable for a business.

This degree will give you the technical foundation to understand cyberspace and manage security related risks. When you have completed your degree, you will have a detailed understanding of:

The Master of Science in Mathematics degree program offers advanced mathematical training in the traditional areas of mathematics, yet is flexible enough to allow you to pursue interests in related areas of mathematics. You may select courses in algebra, analysis, combinatorics, and geometry, as well as differential equations, graph theory, numerical analysis, probability, and statistical theory. Individual interests and future goals determine the actual course of study, within the guidelines given below.

The M.S. in Mathematics degree requires 30 semester credits of coursework. These must include 16 credits of math classes numbered 7000 and above, including at least one two-course sequence. The remaining credits are taken from 6000 or 7000-level mathematics courses, as chosen in conjunction with an advisor. Graduates typically assume positions in teaching or business, or they may pursue further graduate training leading to the Ph.D. degree. The department makes provision for part-time degree candidates by offering all required courses in the late afternoon or evening.

The objectives of the Public Health degree center around programmatic learning goals and core skills that not only provide an in-depth science education but aid students in developing skills necessary for future careers. These include:

Businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies require people skilled in supply chain management to coordinate the flow of materials, finances, and information within and between companies. Supply chain management specialists improve service for customers while reducing costs for employers and you will study the strategies that make business, nonprofits, and governments competitive within a global economy.

Supply chain management graduates have a high chance of placement in an internship or job immediately after graduation and the skills learned as part of your degree will make you competitive for increasingly important positions. If you complete this program, you will graduate with a Bachelor in Business with a major in supply chain management. In this program, you will get a broad education in core business skills such as accounting, finance, marketing, management, and operations management along with emphasizing effective management of production and service operations. You will study concepts and strategies that help businesses and organization stay competitive in the world economy, including management tools and analytic techniques, such as forecasting, purchasing, and logistics, inventory management, production scheduling, and quality manufacturing practices.

Our program covers three primary areas: basic problem solving and data analysis tools, major concepts and strategies for managing people, materials, and production resources, and the integration of the supply function into overall business or organizational strategy. This program will prepare you to work in supply chain management jobs and careers or to continue your education with a graduate or doctoral degree.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in music is designed for students who want to study music but do not necessarily plan a professional career in music. Students will get a much broader, more general education than students seeking a Bachelor of Music degree. Required courses are kept to a minimum. Consequently, students must work closely with an advisor in selecting course electives. For graduation, students must complete level III in the applied music concentration.

You can harness the power of music and its ability to express and communicate while studying music at Wright State. You will develop knowledge, technical skill, and the use of technology in our multifaceted curriculum. Welcome to the Chemistry Department's Graduate Program at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio! As faculty members, we look forward to working with you as you continue your education in the field of chemistry. You will find the graduate education experience at Wright State University an interesting and exciting transition from student to independent scientist. Graduate students begin this program by taking courses in Chemistry very much as they did as undergraduates. Upon the completion of this program, the student will present a thesis describing their own research, which contributes to the body of new knowledge in chemistry. Actually, the progress is not the simple progression that the foregoing statement might imply. This program takes approximately two years of hard work, and while you are taking courses, usually you will be serving as a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses. The experience and knowledge you obtain in this program will remain with you always. A productive chemist never loses the attitude of an inquiring student.

The Department of Chemistry offers a research-based program of study in two dedicated Master of Science (M.S.) degree programs. The M.S. degree in Chemistry is available with research concentrations in the traditional areas of Analytical, Inorganic, Organic, and Physical & Theoretical Chemistry as well as in Environmental, Polymer & Materials and Bioorganic Synthetic Chemistry and in Chemical Education.

The Master of  Organizational Studies comprises the core courses for the current Organizational Studies Educational Doctorate (Ed.D.) program. Students who are admitted into the Organizational Studies Ed.D. program will receive the M.S. in Organizational Studies once they have satisfactorily completed the Ed.D. program core courses, which includes the internship. The M.S. degree will permit all students to receive the master’s degree. The core courses provide an interdisciplinary approach to the study of topics, theories, and research critical to the success of leaders in a variety of organizational settings. These courses reflect a scholar-practitioner oriented program for working professionals, grounded in systems theory, adaptive leadership change, decision making, structure, personnel roles and functions, external relations, planning, program evaluation, and organization theory. The program is for those working in community, government, public service, business, non-profit, and education organizations.

Program Outcomes
The focus of the master’s program is to develop scholar-practitioners committed to exploring and expanding research related to the practice and processes in organizations. Graduates will deepen their understandings related to leadership and change within organizations. The participants will gain the knowledge and skills to conduct robust research, to strengthen practices in organizations, and to establish networks for education, psychology, urban affairs, and health and human services, to name a few. The following six principles (Fullan, 2005) form the conceptual framework of the proposed program:
