Whether you want to continue professionally in fields such as law or business, enter into more traditional areas like Jewish education or Jewish communal service, or pursue the degree out of intellectual curiosity and personal interest, the program is for those who want to be challenged and inspired.

YU’s M.A. in Physics program, based in New York City, specializes in solving problems in quantum information, mechanical and electronic materials behavior, propagation of waves, biological matter, dynamics, and hardware and software development. These activities are of intrinsic interest from a fundamental point of view and they are also geared toward engineering applications.

Our master's in physics program explores exciting fields like quantum information and materials behavior. It prepares students for impactful careers in academia, industry, teaching and entrepreneurship while also developing their artistic appreciation for observing nature through the physicist’s lens. With robust knowledge of computer software and hardware development, our graduates gain access to rewarding jobs in the high-technology field, including developing their own high-tech startups. They also continue on to Ph.D. programs and apply their knowledge in a range of industries, such as engineering, business, finance and medicine.

Welcome to the Department of Sociology at Yeshiva College. The Sociology Department at Yeshiva College offers both a major and a minor in sociology, as well as minors in public health and criminology. A sociology degree is excellent preparation for graduate study or a career in law, criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, research, public administration, business, medicine, counseling, health care management or other service professions.

The mission of the Sociology program is to prepare students for employment and/or to pursue advanced studies in various fields ranging from journalism, political analysis, market research, law, medicine, psychology, sociology or social work to just name a few. Students will be prepared for these careers by studying social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociology majors will learn to investigate the structure of groups, organizations, and societies, and how these structures constrain peoples’ lives in different ways. Our program will teach students to analyze a wide range of social institutions like law, family, medicine, education, mass media and religion. Sociology majors will learn to analyze social institutions by focusing on structures like race, gender and class. Familiarizing students with social theories will help students understand how these structures stratify societies. Despite all this diversity in our field, the discipline of sociology has a powerful coherence that comes from a collective dedication to developing theoretical principles about social life and testing them with empirical evidence.

The Katz School's master's in Speech-Language Pathology, based in New York City, is one of the few SLP programs in the country specializing in the medical aspects of speech-language pathology. Our M.S. in SLP takes a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating speech, language and communication cases across the lifespan.

Through our hands-on curriculum, you will engage in clinical fieldwork each semester and gain practical, hands-on experience under the guidance of faculty, supervisors and mentors. You will have the opportunity to conduct research with faculty, attend professional conferences and contribute to academic publications, and you will graduate prepared to apply for certification from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and for licensure in New York State.

Yeshiva College students are singularly suited and uniquely challenged to study Tanakh intensively while bringing to bear the breadth of knowledge gained from a liberal arts education. At Yeshiva College, Bible is a multidimensional discipline. It begins with an effort to understand the Bible in its historical context, as illuminated by the history of the Ancient Near East and its linguistic and physical culture. It continues with the study of the Bible as it has been read and interpreted throughout Jewish history, from second temple texts to the rabbis of the Talmud to the classical medieval commentators, down to the present. The Yeshiva College Bible faculty, immersed in traditional approaches and trained in contemporary scholarship, brings these mutually enriching aspects of the study of Tanakh together in a fashion rarely available elsewhere.

Data analytics professionals shape organizational strategies and impact the bottom line by transforming quantitative data into qualitative insights. They also contribute to the greater social good, using data to address pressing challenges in healthcare, housing, poverty, education and transportation. In the Katz School's M.S. in Data Analytics and Visualization, you’ll learn to transform raw data into insightful output and master the underlying science of predictive and exploratory analyses, as well as techniques for creating visualizations and data narratives.

Yeshiva University’s M.S. in quantitative economics (MQE), based in New York City, blends macroeconomics and microeconomics, econometrics, probability/statistics, computation, behavioral economics and data science to inform monetary and fiscal policy, labor markets, public finance, market design, and more. Protecting an organization's information assets and technology infrastructure is critical and requires hiring teams of cybersecurity professionals to protect against increasingly frequent attacks. Fueling this growth is the rapid evolution of cyber threats through the expansion of mobile device usage, the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, artificial intelligence and drones.
