UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

Human Resource Management (Major)
The success of any organisation is dependent on its workforce, and every company has people at the helm. Studying human resource management you’ll learn about employee management, performance management, employment relations, learning and development, organisational change, health and safety, international HRM and organisational behaviour – skills that will set you up for success in a diverse and rewarding career.

The Master of Engineering Science/Master of Commerce double degree allows you to graduate with two postgraduate qualifications. This degree is ideal for you if you're an early or mid-career professional seeking to advance your career.

In this dual master's program, you’ll study discipline specific courses unique to Engineering or Commerce as well as building skills essential to professional decision making, project and staff management, leadership and strategy.

The Master of Engineering Science is designed for engineers and graduates wishing to develop and expand their knowledge and skills in their current area of expertise. Studying a Master of Engineering Science enables you to meet or maintain professional accreditation standards and provides opportunities for continuing professional development.

The Master of Commerce is innovative, industry-relevant and incorporates the latest thinking in business. If you're a non-business graduate wanting to develop your skills and knowledge in business, or a business graduate who would like to broaden your business knowledge, this program allows you to choose from a range of disciplines to reach your career goals. 

You can graduate with two master's after three years of study, however, students with advanced standing will be able to complete their studies up to a year and a half sooner.

Bioinformatics is where computing and the life sciences meet. It involves the development of technologies to work with and manage the huge volumes of genetic information being generated.

Bioinformatics is at the convergence of computing and the life sciences, and involves the development of technologies for storing, extracting, organising, analysing, interpreting and using the growing volume of genetic information being generated.The need to process and analyse vast amounts of information requires advances in both software technologies and hardware architectures.

In this degree you'll learn the foundation disciplines of bioinformatics, which includes biology (biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics), computing (algorithms, databases and programming), mathematics and statistics. You'll gain the skills to design and implement software for activities such as identifying the genes affected in specific cancer types.

The Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Media is a four-year double degree that shows you how to enlighten others with creative thinking and persuasive communications. Learn strategies to interest, inform, and inspire others while challenging conventions and designing new solutions to old problems.

Media Studies (Major)
During your media studies programs at UNSW, you’ll learn how to demonstrate creativity, rigour, adaptability, independence and cultural reflexivity in the application of media studies concepts and methods. On top of this, you will be able to critically analyse the evolving media landscape in relation to historical, social, political, material, and theoretical contexts, including settler colonialism. Deploying a critically informed approach, you’ll dive deep into hot topics, including ethics, justice, and social engagement in media practices, industries, and contexts. With a dedicated and diverse community by your side, you’ll be empowered to collaborate effectively with local and international practitioners across media contexts.

The Psychological Science/Law double degree is a five-year program (full-time) and provides an opportunity to obtain two degrees suited to law students who also have an interest in the study of psychology.

The Law degree aims to develop graduates who have excellent analytical skills, a capacity for scholarly research, effective oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to personal and professional development, ethical practice and social responsibility.

The Law courses satisfy the requirements for the award of the professional LLB degree, while the Psychological Science component allows students to complete an accredited Psychology degree, with the option to apply for an additional Honours year in Psychology.

This double degree is designed for students who want to pursue a career in biomedical engineering through the technical base of materials science and engineering. It focuses on the development, processing and application of materials used in many areas of biomedical engineering.

A biomedical engineer can look at a medical problem and analyse it in engineering terms to find a solution. Materials science is the underlying science of high-performance materials such as metals, ceramics, polymers and composites.

You'll learn theoretical and practical skills that will put you at the forefront of innovation in developing systems to maintain and enhance life, as well as how to design body parts or tissues, develop artificial organs, improve robotic surgery, invent health technologies and more. It involves a four-year Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Science (Honours) and a Master of Biomedical Engineering in the fifth year.

This six-year double degree provides an opportunity for musically gifted and talented students to explore the connections between music and law. The Law courses satisfy the requirements for the award of the professional Law degree, while the Music courses offer intensive pre-professional training in musicology, music theory, performance and composition as well as one of four music streams: music creative practice, music inquiry, sonic arts and music pedagogy.
