The Master of Global Health and Master of Health Leadership and Management is a double degree providing the essential knowledge, skills and attributes to carry out senior managerial and leadership roles in population, clinical and departmental health services. It is designed for those keen to work internationally in health departments, with non-government organisations (NGOs), and with international and bilateral aid agencies. You will gain a deep understanding of topics such as health promotion, health care economics and financial management, epidemiology, workforce management and clinical governance, as well as having the opportunity to study tropical disease control, immunisation policy, infectious diseases intelligence or bioterrorism.

UNSW’s Bachelor of Commerce/Arts is a double degree that will equip you with business experience and expertise, combined with the creativity, analytical and critical thinking skills that come with an arts degree. Both degrees offer flexibility, allowing you to shape your degree to match your ambitions and interests.

The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) has been designed with consultation from industry to set you up for lifelong employability. By combining your BCom with a Bachelor of Arts, you can choose from a diverse range of majors and subjects in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge and breadth of understanding, gaining the tools to think critically, communicate effectively and conduct independent research.

This double degree in mathematics and computer studies makes a valuable combination. While the advanced mathematics (honours) degree focuses on in-depth understanding of pure and applied mathematics, the computer science degree looks at the design, construction and uses of computer systems.

UNSW offers mathematics students advanced facilities combined with innovative teaching. Your mathematics studies will assist with the manipulation of data as well as the development of algorithms in computer science. The advanced mathematics component involves advanced coursework with an honours-level research project.

There are more than seven computer science majors to choose from, including artificial intelligence, database systems, e-commerce, embedded systems, networks, programming languages and security.

Students can undertake a five-year full-time double degree leading to the award of the degrees of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science (BE (Hons) BSc).

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) provides you with a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing to give you knowledge and skills in whichever specialisation you choose. You'll have the chance to apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, and engineering and technical management, as well as conduct research towards your thesis project.

The Bachelor of Science degree allows you to study a wide range of science subjects. You are encouraged to choose a variety of courses in your first year, and later to choose from a broad selection of major options. This gives you time to become more familiar with the different areas of science and to explore possible majors.

Statistics is a rapidly evolving science, with technological advances presenting exciting new opportunities for collection and analysis of large and complex data sets. This degree – the longest running program of its kind in Australia - provides advanced training for current and aspiring statisticians. 

Strengthen your knowledge of statistical science and develop your consulting and project writing skills. The UNSW Master of Statistics covers a wide range of statistical theory and practice and provides advanced training in the principles of mathematics and statistical analysis. 

This program is also suitable for students who are currently or aspiring to become practicing statisticians, with the opportunity to learn in-depth applications of statistics in areas such as finance, engineering or medical and biological science. The program also provides?the necessary preparation for further research in statistics.? 

The UNSW Bachelor of Fine Arts/Engineering (Honours) is a double-degree that can be completed in 5.7 years full-time, or the part-time equivalent.  

Through the Bachelor of Fine Arts, you'll explore your artistic ignite your creativity and explore your practice, build technical skills and knowledge, and learn from experts in practical and theoretical classes. With distinct and focused specialisations in music, animation and moving image, art theory, and visual arts – you can focus deeply on the creative field that inspires you.

Through the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), you’ll gain a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing that will prepare you to hone your expertise in an engineering discipline. The type of engineer you’ll become often depends on which of the 19 engineering specialisations you choose.

The UNSW Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) is a three-year degree when studied full time.

Mining engineering develops and executes the processes used to extract minerals from below and above ground. As a mining engineer you’ll work in the planning and management of engineering the extraction of mineral, petroleum and gas resources from the earth.  Mining Engineers evaluate, plan and oversee the construction of a mine. They’re involved in a project through all phases of mining operations.

This degree is designed for mining engineering graduates and minerals industry professionals who want to continue their professional development. In this degree you’ll learn the fundamentals of mining engineering, mining processes, systems and analysis, and risk and safety management, as well as undertaking a research project in the mining industry. Building on your four-year undergraduate degree in mining engineering or a related discipline you’ll develop the advanced knowledge for a successful career in mining engineering.

Whether you’re interested in civil engineering, underground mining or geomechanics, you’ll advance your career in the mining industry with a Master of Mining Engineering. This course will arm you with the latest skills, trends and knowledge to get ahead.

Media Studies (Major)
During your media studies programs at UNSW, you’ll learn how to demonstrate creativity, rigour, adaptability, independence and cultural reflexivity in the application of media studies concepts and methods.
