The Computer Network Electronics Technician certificate program has a practical career-oriented approach, giving you the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to be able to install, repair, and maintain computers, servers, computer networks, and electronic systems.

Skills you'll gain
You don't need any previous knowledge of computers or electronics to enrol in this program. By the time you graduate, you'll possess a wide variety of skills, such as: installation and maintenance of computer networking systems; maintenance and repair of personal computers; maintenance and repair of server systems; analog and digital circuit assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance; installation, repair, and maintenance of microprocessor-based equipment; and technical sales support.

In addition, graduates of the Advanced Certificate will also have the skills to implement workstation security; install and maintain home automation systems; and configure and set up advanced servers.

Optional Co-op/Internship
The co-op or internship is an optional component of the program. It is paid work experience that can enable you to experience different employment fields and often leads to permanent employment.

You'll develop the skills and knowledge to work in the finance industry. This program provides you with a solid business education and a foundation in either a financial planning or corporate finance, covering areas such as business finance; investment analysis; money, banking, and financial institutions; client relationships and marketing; professional ethics; economics; personal taxations, and accounting.

Work Experience
You will gain practical skills and experience by combining your academic studies with relevant work experience in the Co-operative Education designation. You'll graduate with practical work experience and employer references. Employers value internship as a source of eager and well-prepared talent and often use the internship process as a means of recruiting permanent employees.

The flexible General Arts program offers you a two-year grounding in the arts. Build the program that interests you by choosing courses that fit your educational goals. You can also choose to specialize with five options within the Associate of Arts degree, including English, economics, social work or psychology.

The Cybersecurity & Network Support Technician certificate program has a practical career-oriented approach, giving you the knowledge and hands-on experience you need to be able to install, repair, secure and maintain computers, servers and computer networks.

The demand for security professionals with skills to protect systems from attack continues to grow. Completing this diploma program will not only give you the skills to maintain computer and networks systems but will give you the ability to design and configure these systems and optimise them to protect them from attack. You'll have the skills to assess and deploy Cloud based solutions in a secure manner and monitor, assess, and respond appropriately to security events on any of the network systems.

• Security analyst - monitoring, detecting, investigating, analyzing and responding to security events;
• Configuration and setup of advanced servers including cloud based
• Technical sales support.

This two-year, 20-course program will give you a head start in economics, statistics, science and English, as well as your choice of electives to round out your education.

You will learn to apply economic theories to analyze market changes, consumer choices, competition, business cycles, and the effects of trade. You will gain exposure to banking and financial markets, managerial economics, and quantitative methods. The analytical skills you develop in this program are useful in a career in economics or business, and in your personal decision-making.

You'll gain a solid foundation in business management with the broad range of business courses and opportunities to develop competencies and practical management skills for today’s business environment.

Choose from transfer courses in more than 30 different subject areas. These courses will transfer to at least one BC post-secondary institution.

Whether you want to take one or two courses at a time, or register for full-time studies with four or five courses each semester, the University Transfer program gives you the freedom to design your own timetable. Generally speaking, you'll probably start by taking 100-level courses (first-year) and follow up with corresponding 200-level (second-year) courses.

The Engineering Graphics Technician (EGT) program is ideal for those with an interest in engineering/architectural visualization, an aptitude for computer aided design, or have a foreign credential in engineering /architecture and are looking to enter the Canadian job market.

The eight-month long Engineering Graphics Technician program includes a special emphasis in 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting. You’ll start with two terms on campus (14 weeks and 7 weeks), followed by a final, two-month internship work placement.
