This two-semester graduate certificate program is designed to provide students with highly relevant applied skills, integrative learning experiences, and professional network development for careers in policing. Students will refine their abilities to analyze and make appropriate decisions in complex situations. Through class discussions, simulations, and applied projects, students will gain experience in dealing with social and organizational issues related to police services and community safety within increasingly diverse communities. Through Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) experience with relevant community organizations, students will integrate knowledge and skills within an immersive environment.

The two-year Office Administration - Legal program provides students with a specialization in legal administrative procedures and processes to meet the needs of an increasingly global and technologically advancing legal industry. 

In the first year, students build strong technological, administrative, and communication skills, and are introduced to office procedures specific to the legal environment. Students begin their legal studies with an introduction to civil litigation and legal accounting.

In the second year, students continue to apply substantive and procedural law to the production of legal documentation in the areas of family law, litigation, real estate, wills and estates, and corporate law. Students receive extensive administrative training, with an emphasis on problem-solving skills, by completing client files and accounting procedures, integrating a variety of current computer programs and specialized legal software.

Throughout the program, students are exposed to a wide variety of hands-on practical applications with an emphasis on organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. As a capstone to the program, students showcase their skills by completing a 90-hour work placement.

Global Hospitality Management
The Global Hospitality Management graduate certificate program is open to international students with a background in hospitality. This program will complement an already earned diploma or degree in business, hospitality or a related field, and enable applicants to gain a work visa in Canada. Graduates of the Global Hospitality Management program will develop more management and operational ability specific to the hospitality industry and provide graduates with opportunities to obtain a supervisory or management level position in hospitality organizations. The program will focus on essential management and operational areas needed in hospitality organizations through an exploration of theory and practice in the field of management. Students will earn a TrainCan Food Safety Certificate, Smart Serve (responsible alcohol service) Certificate, and WHMIS as part of the core curriculum. The optional co-op stream includes one co-op work term instead of the Guided Career Management course.

Project Management
Learn how to manage simple to complex projects from start to finish, and become a critical part of an organization’s most exciting achievements. Develop the skills you need to oversee project management activities such as planning, managing scope, costs, time while balancing client expectations. Learn organizational Agility with practices such as Scrum. Establish goals for your project team and lead them to overcome obstacles to achieve success, meeting stakeholders needs. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. This Ontario College Advanced Diploma program provides you with the skills and knowledge required for all aspects of power generation and maintenance operation, both theoretical and practical, at the 4th and 3rd class levels. Power engineers operate and maintain the machinery and equipment that provides power, heat, refrigeration and other industrial services. This may include boilers, steam and gas turbines, generators, gas and diesel engines, pumps, condensers, compressors and pressure vessels in large facilities, buildings, industrial power and process plants and thermal electric generating stations. Highly experienced faculty and a state-of-the-art facility support active, hands-on learning providing you with the knowledge and skills required for a successful career in this field. With subjects of instruction that follow the Standardized Power Engineers Examination Committee (SOPECC) syllabus and an extensive number of work integrated learning hours, this program prepares you to challenge the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) examinations required for 4th and 3rd class certification as a power engineer. If you successfully pass the 4th class ticket exam before your second placement, this program provides you with the opportunity to count the work-integrated learning hours accumulated in the second part of the program towards your time reduction qualification for your 3rd class ticket.

The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. The curriculum emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) diploma, and the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation (subject to one year of work experience).

Senior management require strong administrative and analytical support, relying on assistants, business, and office managers with technical competency, superior organizational skills, the ability to manage conflicting demands and a variety of responsibilities. Graduates will be able to coordinate activities on the executive's behalf and ensure the executive successfully navigates through a multitude of functions and responsibilities. Students will complete courses designed to develop proficiency in the use of integrated software and financial processes, apply managerial principles and processes, strengthen verbal and written communication, and develop expertise in administrative procedures and processes. Graduates of this program will be ready to become integral parts of the leadership team in any business by providing support for the activity of the senior executive group.

Computer animation has evolved to become a major component in the field of animation production and contributes towards shaping content for film, television, games and online applications. As such, students must be actively engaged in all aspects of the production process and understand the requirements associated with the production pipeline. Traditional design, drawing and storytelling skills are enhanced via the latest computer (software/hardware), combined with 3D animation skills and the creation of characters and customized environments contribute towards the creation of unique content that graduates will utilize in their e-portfolio of project work.

The need for business analytics in today’s fast-paced world necessitates that employees possess the skills, technologies, and practices for continuous exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight into what happened and why. A well-trained business analyst will use the insights to help drive change and business planning within organizations. You will learn how to describe, interpret, and inform business decisions in specific areas of data-driven business. You will improve your data literacy skills and develop an analytic mindset that will help you make strategic decisions based on data. The Business Analytics Ontario College Graduate Certificate program focuses on two of the four types of analytics used in business - Descriptive Analytics and Diagnostics Analytics. Using these two types of analytics, you will practice summarizing data findings to communicate what is currently going on in business and help stakeholders see what contributed to the outcome of your findings.

This one-year certificate program is designed to support students as they prepare to enter a variety of career-based academic programs in the human service fields. The program will strengthen students' academic skills and assist them in developing greater knowledge and awareness of the range of human service career options. Through intentionally designed program activities, students will engage with relevant career programs in order to develop a fuller understanding of the professional requirements of those programs and determine personal suitability and fit.
