The Bachelor of Design is a four-year degree in visual design with a complement of courses in entrepreneurship, marketing, and management. The program will ensure graduates have both the creative and visual acuity, and the knowledge of business strategy, that are necessary to create design solutions for current market needs. Conestoga’s Bachelor of Design is unique in Ontario for offering students a truly interprofessional perspective that blends visual design, entrepreneurship, and liberal studies courses with co-op opportunities, enhanced studio space, printing facilities and access to advanced technology, as well as state-of-the-art on-campus facilities. Limited enrolment and small class sizes ensure student access to faculty with professional experience in the fields of visual design and business development. As a comprehensive design program, students take courses in typography, visual design, colour theory, design studio, drawing and illustration, photography, interactive design, as well as entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, business management, writing and presentation skills, and group dynamics. The program employs a project-based learning approach that addresses design and entrepreneurship skills, as well as a variety of prescient issues including accessibility, sustainability, and corporate and social responsibility. Students engage in dynamic studio projects for both in-class and live clients.

The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas program offers two semesters of full-time study. It is designed for students who wish to concentrate on the health sciences field and prepares students for application to Conestoga College's School of Health Sciences certificate and diploma programs. Students will be introduced to the health sciences field, to college life and college workload, and will be able to increase their competitiveness to support their application to health sciences programs.

Business - Marketing is a two-year diploma program designed for people seeking a high-level overview of the marketing industry. The program focuses on the fundamental principles of marketing and gives graduates hands-on skills to gain employment in the marketing industry.The program offers courses in advertising, graphic design, internet, research, sales, events and retail while developing teamwork, communication and general business skills. In addition, students participate in the design and presentation of marketing, advertising and event plans.Conestoga College is an Accredited Partner of the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA). This program is accredited by the CPSA Institute as providing all 35 hours of pre-requisite education toward the Certified Sales Associate designation, the first level of the Graduated Certification Framework. Public service is service that is performed for the benefit of the public or its institutions, usually through employment in either a government or a non-profit organization. This graduate certificate program provides students with the skills, knowledge and practical experience critical to a career in public service. Students will learn about the inner workings of government at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. The program will address issues such as public ethics, policy formulation, government and public sector structures, leadership, and management. Through the program, students will develop skills in critical thinking, analytical communications and problem-solving to pursue a career as a public servant. The optional co-op stream includes one co-op work term.

Applying to the Co-op Stream

• All applicants apply to the non co-op program. Students will be informed of the application deadline and process to apply for the Co-op Stream. Labour market conditions determine co-op seats in optional co-op programs. Every student who meets academic eligibility requirements may not be admitted to the co-op stream.
• To be considered for admission to the co-op stream, students are required to achieve a minimum overall SWA of 3.75 (80% session weighted average) with no dropped or failed courses.

• The College cannot guarantee co-op employment. All co-op students are required to conduct an independent co-op job search in addition to the supports and services provided by the Department of Co-op Education.
• Students are responsible for their own transportation and associated costs in order to complete work term requirements. Work locations may not always be readily accessible by public transportation.

Global Business Management
The Global Business Management graduate program provides an internationally-focused body of knowledge and skills for individuals interested in extending their business understanding beyond the domestic environment. The curriculum emphasizes the skills and knowledge necessary to operate in different roles within international cultural, legal and political contexts. This broad-based program will explore the field of management both in theory and through practical applications considering different organizational lenses. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the FITT (Forum for International Trade Training) diploma, and the CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation (subject to one year of work experience).

Project Management
Learn how to manage simple to complex projects from start to finish, and become a critical part of an organization’s most exciting achievements. Develop the skills you need to oversee project management activities such as planning, managing scope, costs, time while balancing client expectations. Learn organizational Agility with practices such as Scrum. Establish goals for your project team and lead them to overcome obstacles to achieve success, meeting stakeholders needs. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. Students will complete courses designed to develop proficiency in the use of integrated software and financial processes, apply managerial principles and processes, strenBe at the forefront of content creation in immersive environments with this one-year graduate certificate in Virtual Reality Production. Within the program, you will examine the use of Extended Reality (XR) in various industries including entertainment, manufacturing, healthcare, and education, as well as look at future applications of the technology. Using leading-edge hardware and software and through the creation of VR content, you will discover how to enhance the user experience through human-centered design techniques, storytelling methods, environment construction, character development, and user navigation. Students come together from multiple related disciplines such as Animation, Game, IT, Film and Television to combine traditional and emerging technologies and techniques to create engaging immersive experiences.

Career Development Practitioner is a three-semester (one-year) graduate certificate program that prepares graduates to enter the career development sector. The world of work is rapidly changing and new careers are emerging to meet current and future workforce needs. Career Development Professionals provide information, advice, and guidance related to career exploration, skill acquisition, job search, and maintenance. This one-year graduate (three semesters) certificate program provides training to enter and/or advance in the field of career development such as career and employment advisors, career resource specialists, job developers, or career management professionals. This program may also appeal to practitioners working in the field who want to gain additional formal training, job coaching experience, or attain their Career Development Practitioner designation. Graduation from the program provides the full academic component and partial fulfillment of work experience hours for certification by the Career Development Practitioners' Certification Board of Ontario (CDPCBO).

In just 30 weeks, graduates of the Building Superintendence and Repair program are prepared to assume roles in building maintenance, either live-in or out. You will develop the skills and strategies required to interact with customers in a professional and appropriate manner in a diverse business environment. This Ontario College Certificate program prepares you to conduct inspections and maintenance of buildings, while gaining hands-on experience in interior repairs, painting and cleaning, plumbing and building system maintenance, grounds maintenance, record keeping, working with contractors, and landlord-tenant relations. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities you will develop the workplace interpersonal skills needed to support all phases of your career. The Bachelor of Applied Health Information Science (Honours) degree is an innovative four-year, paid co-op program that will prepare graduates for a number of in-demand careers in the health-care industry. Our graduates enable the health-care system to achieve its goals of person-centred, safe, high quality and sustainable health care through data-informed problem solving. Our graduates will use applied and integrated knowledge and skills from health information science, biomedical and health sciences, information technology and management sciences to positively impact the health-care system. Focusing on health informatics and health information management, students in the BAHIS degree will experience a variety of real-life learning opportunities that will enrich the learning experience. Students will be challenged to use creativity and problem-solving skills to design, implement and evaluate a broad range of projects with community partners. Students will design health informatics and information management solutions while learning to maintain security, privacy and confidentiality. The BAHIS degree will offer students opportunities to develop critical thinking and communication skills that will enable them to work successfully on inter-professional teams. Upon graduation from the program, students will qualify to challenge the national certification examination of the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA). Areas of study within property and casualty coverage include agency claims and investigation, underwriting, marketing and management. An optional co-op work-term provides you an authentic, professionally-relevant work experience. The opportunity to connect theory with practice will allow you to develop a broad base of occupational skills, embrace key concepts and terminology within the field and expose you to networking opportunities. In addition, you will have the opportunity to gain nine of the ten credits required for the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada and you may choose to register for the CIP national exams at an additional cost in order to receive credentials awarded by the Institute.Pursue a career within the insurance industry and make a difference in the lives of those in your community.
