Financial Technology
The field of financial technology is evolving as it responds to the challenges facing the 21st century financial sector. This means that professionals employed in the field must be equipped to support diverse client groups such as individuals and company-based financial institutions. If you have a background in the computer industry, finance or other related fields, and are ready to attain in-depth competencies to help consumers and businesses track, manage, and facilitate their finances, this Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will be of interest to you. Through a variety of projects, case studies and interactive learning opportunities, and using current and relevant resources to support the latest trends in financial technology, you will develop the skills needed to help individuals and businesses secure their finances. You will study topics such as applications, emerging market trends, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and management. This full-time, two-year, Ontario College Graduate certificate program will be of interest to graduates of engineering and engineering technology programs wanting to expand their theoretical knowledge by providing opportunities for complementary practical training and experience in a manufacturing shop learning environment. Through practical courses the student will be exposed to situations that arise in the workplace. Domestic and foreign trained individuals will benefit from this program's solid modeling, machining, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming courses (machining option) or blue print reading and welding symbols courses (welding option). In addition, applied learning opportunities include manufacturing shop projects and a capstone project which consolidates the theoretical and practical content. Upon completion, students will be prepared to make an effective start in supervisory or managerial roles in a manufacturing environment. The program helps to develop leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex manufacturing processes and teams effectively to meet business goals. Conestoga's Police Foundations (PF) program offers a two-year integrated learning experience to help you develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of a preferred candidate in public sector law enforcement. This program focuses on understanding justice though a lens of social equity and modern policing and has been designed to provide an overall base for a variety of careers in criminal justice and public safety. In this program, you will be exposed to the many complexities that are facing modern day policing. Through a combination of theory and simulation-based experiences, you will experience a person-centered approach to community policing. This program will prepare you for the acquisition ofknowledge and skills relevant to entry-level positions in public sector law enforcement.

Computer animation has evolved to become a major component in the field of animation production and contributes towards shaping content for film, television, games and online applications. As such, students must be actively engaged in all aspects of the production process and understand the requirements associated with the production pipeline. Traditional design, drawing and storytelling skills are enhanced via the latest computer (software/hardware), combined with 3D animation skills and the creation of characters and customized environments contribute towards the creation of unique content that graduates will utilize in their e-portfolio of project work.

In this Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Predictive Analytics, you will learn about statistical applications for data analysis, data modeling practices, and big data analytical techniques. Through individual and group activities and case studies, you will use predictive modeling and analytical techniques to bring together the management, information technology, and business modeling processes in order to make predictions about future trends. Businesses and industries can use the patterns found in the data to identify risks and opportunities for future decisions and effectively interpret data for their benefit.

Business is ever evolving to include more and more information technology (IT) resources for staff which allows for increased productivity in the workplace. This two-semester Ontario College Certificate program enables you to gain the critical knowledge and skills required to configure and troubleshoot end user computers, server operating systems, infrastructure services, and networks. Students refine their skills by completing activities that are typical in a business setting within an IT support role focusing on client needs.

The Business program provides a broad education encompassing all functional areas of business, including business accounting, finance, marketing, sales, operations and human resources management. Today’s world is full of business opportunities; graduates of this program will have work-ready skills that will enable them to operate in multiple business departments, return to their family business or start their own business venture.

Conestoga's Protection, Security and Investigation (PSI) and Police Foundations (PF) programs offer a two-year integrated learning experience to help you develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of a preferred candidate in your chosen field. The first year of the Protection, Security and Investigation program is shared with the Police Foundations program. This common first year focuses on justice foundations and has been designed to provide an overall base for a variety of careers in criminal justice and community safety. In this first year, you will be exposed to courses that give you an understanding of how society and its institutions work. In second year, you will be given the opportunity to concentrate your studies in one of the two programs, which focus on policing or security/investigations: Police Foundations or Protection, Security and Investigation. This second year provides both academic study and job-focused practical training to prepare students for careers in the private and public sectors. 

Graduates of the Protection, Security and Investigation program may also qualify for a Provincial Security Guard License and Private Investigator License, which can be valuable points of entry into the world of work. 

Are you passionate for the art of visual storytelling through film and video? In this program you will learn to write, perform, shoot, and edit content in a variety of formats. Using industry standard equipment and software, storytelling skills are enhanced through lighting, sound design, and post-production finishing.The program's inventory of HD field cameras and professional lighting kits is continually enhanced by the acquisition of the latest ancillary gear. Multi-camera production experience is well served by our fully equipped HD studio along with remote production equipment.The fourth semester of this 2-year program is split between a field placement where you will work within the industry and a final capstone project where you will integrate the skills you have learned within the program. This provides you with an opportunity to produce a project you are passionate about and to strengthen your portfolio. Along with jobs within the Film and Television Industry, the Television and Independent Production Program also prepares you to navigate the world of freelance employment or to create your own opportunities through entrepreneurship.

Develop the skills you need to oversee project management activities such as planning, managing scope, costs, time while balancing client expectations. Earn project management education hours towards a variety of certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Risk Management Professional (RMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) designations. The Supply Chain Management - Global program prepares students for careers in the fields of logistics, procurement, supply chain and operations. Through extensive practical learning activities, students enhance their knowledge of supply chain concepts applicable to a variety of sectors. Graduates will be well-prepared to support the management of job functions by examining the connections between strategic objectives, stakeholder expectations, and supply chain design, functions, processes and roles; determining the value-added and financial implications of supply chain decisions and design on business profitability, efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction; using risk mitigation tools and strategies; reviewing supply chain activities and transactions for compliance with relevant policies, standards, legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; collaborating with, and using leadership and communication skills to build strategic relationships with a diversity of stakeholders.
