What will I learn?
Dalhousie's Bioveterinary Science program blends a core general science education with specialized courses in animal health and welfare. Our 200-hectare farm and high-tech laboratories give you opportunities in experiential learning. You’ll work directly with animals like sheep, dairy cows, fish, chickens and more in both an academic and research capacity.

Students begin by taking foundation courses in biology, chemistry, math, physics, genetics, biochemistry and cell biology. These courses will give you the background for more in-depth studies in topics such as veterinary epidemiology, animal health and nutrition and mammalian physiology. You’ll leave with an in-depth knowledge of animals and focus on issues related to their health and care.

On the off chance that you are interested in acting, directing, playwriting or analyzing theatre or film then the Bachelor of Arts-Theatre program at Dalhousie University is the best option for you. The Department of Theatre has a wide range of courses to start your career in Acting, Stage Design and Technical Theatre and Theatre Studies. 

Students will be learning about film editing, art direction and also will have opportunities to apply their skills in labs for set construction, lighting, props, and sound.  After completing the program you may have a wide variety of career opportunities like director, playwright, actor, technician or designer in the professional theatre in Canada.  You may also work as a high school drama teacher, or as art administration in the theatre and film industries.

What will I learn?
Your first two years are dedicated to core courses in Management Issues, Accounting, Marketing, Ethics and Social Responsibility, Government Structure, Data Literacy, Economics and Statistics.

In your third and fourth years, you'll choose electives to tailor your degree to your strengths and interests. The optional paid internship for Bachelor of Management students is a minimum of 32 weeks (approximately eight months) of consecutive, full-time work experience related to your studies. It takes place between your third and final academic year.

Dalhousie University introduced the Master of Engineering (MEng) in Internetworking in 1997. Offered through the Faculties of Engineering and Graduate Studies, it's the world's longest-running graduate program dedicated to Internetworking. 

The MEng in Internetworking is a two-year course-based program that covers a range of topics related to the industry, including current technology and its past and future evolution. What will I learn?
When you study Neuroscience at Dalhousie, you’ll study different but related disciplines for an in-depth understanding of the structure and function of the brain and nervous system. You’ll have the opportunity to work in research labs and engage in studies that analyze the brain and its involvement in controlling behaviour.

This one-of-a-kind program at the Faculty of Agriculture in Truro, N.S., will award you two degrees within the standard four years of study: a Bachelor of Business Administration from Aeres University in the Netherlands and a Bachelor of Agriculture in International Food Business from Dalhousie.

What will I learn?
In year one, North American students will study at Dalhousie and European students will study at Aeres. Year two is offered in the Netherlands, where both groups of students will study and explore together. This continues in year three when both groups of students study at Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture at the Agricultural Campus in Truro, N.S. You complete year four at your home university.

Our innovative team and module-based program of study is built around the competencies you'll need to succeed as a business leader in the international food industry. During ten modules presented over the first three years of the four-year degree, you'll be introduced to a range of food business concepts, including global supply chain logistics and new product development.

In these modules, you'll be assigned a series of real business tasks that become progressively more involved. To help you successfully complete these tasks, you'll be assigned internationally experienced professors who will provide key theories, concepts, skills, and practices.

Pharmacists take medication histories, identify goals for drug therapy, provide education to patients regarding medications, make recommendations to other health-care providers about drug therapy, and much more. You'll gain the knowledge and skills to provide drug therapy toward improving patient health. The program’s curriculum offers problem-based learning (PBL) and other types of courses, which may include tutorials, lectures, labs, and practical experience in various settings.

What will I learn?
The pharmacy program delivers course content primarily through problem-based learning (PBL) modules. In the first year of the program, you’ll take courses in biomedical sciences, covering all essential subjects including anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, and physiology. 

These courses are fully integrated in years two through four, covering not only the scientific side of pharmacy, but also the social. You'll look at such topics as therapeutics, pharmaceutical care, inter-professional relations, law and ethics, social and administrative pharmacy issues, and the role of pharmacy in the health-care system.
