In the current business environment, professionals have much more responsibility. Today, they are leaders and managers. Indeed, one of the major challenges they face is managing complex projects that are critical to their business organizations.

The Project Management program is a two term Ontario College Graduate Certificate program where students gain skills in program management and business leadership. The program includes all 10 project management knowledge areas based on the PMI ® A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 2017 - including: project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement management and stakeholder management. In addition, students expand their business leadership skills and the use of project management software.

The Lambton College Therapeutic Recreation, Ontario College Graduate Certificate program prepares graduates to work with people who have physical, mental, emotional, cognitive or social limitations that may affect their attitudes, ability and motivation to participate in leisure and maintain healthy, balanced lifestyles. Recreation Therapists address patients’ barriers to independent, meaningful social contact, and community participation.

Graduates work in a variety of settings such as hospitals and related urgent and community care facilities, long term care and assisted living residences, rehabilitation hospitals and clinics, day programs and outpatient services, private community-based agencies. The program is designed to enable graduates to work towards the Therapeutic Recreation Ontario’s (TRO) Registration Credential (R/TRO DIP).

This Lambton College program is licensed to and delivered by Queen's College (PDF), a licensed private career college in Mississauga, Ontario. Students that are registered at Lambton in Mississauga are students of a public college and as such, will receive full credit from Lambton College for all Lambton College courses completed at the Queen's College campus in Mississauga. Students who meet program graduation requirements will graduate with a credential from Lambton College.

The Business Management – International Business Graduate Certificate program, uses a student-centered, classroom-based approach to learning. It is designed to prepare university and college graduates for a career in the exciting field of business. Students will develop the skills to research, analyze and manage many aspects of business.

Curriculum emphasizes marketing, trade, research, supply chain management, law and project management in an international business setting. Graduates will gain specialized career expertise, technical knowledge and skills in international business, as well as, practical experience with an international field study project that will enable them to start their career in business.

This two-year program will prepare students for a profession that provides services and advocacy for individuals with a wide range of cognitive, physical, social, and emotional limitations. During the program, students will learn theoretical foundations and practical skills which will allow them to competently work through the therapeutic recreation process.

The practice of Recreation Therapy is based on the belief that play, recreation and leisure are essential to achieving an individual’s optimal health and sense of wellbeing which leads to improved quality of life. Through the development of meaningful goals and objectives individuals working in the field of Recreation Therapy will use recreation as a therapeutic tool to improve health and restore wellness.

Through volunteering, field placements, and a variety of community experiences, students will receive valuable hands on experience. These experiences will provide students with the opportunity to further develop their skills in the areas of assessment, program development, planning and evaluations. In addition, students will have the opportunity to receive additional specialized training while enrolled in the Recreation Therapy program, such as Gentle Persuasive Approach and Mental Health First Aid.

With improved globalization and constant innovation across different industries, there has been an increased demand for employees with unique skill sets in identifying, describing, and interpreting various forms of business generated data that help inform corporate decisions in order for companies to stay relevant and competitive. In line with these employer demands, the Lambton College Business Analytics, Ontario College Graduate Certificate helps train students to explore, understand, and ultimately influence business planning within organizations where necessary.

Business Analysts have become an integral part of every organization and have the responsibility to adopt modern technologies, methodologies, and historical data to develop insight and improve on future business processes across the organization. In the program, students are equipped with the requisite industry knowledge needed to drive innovation and change in any organization. More so, the curriculum delves into core Business Analyst expertise required such as project and task planning, statistical analysis, report writing, resource management, eliciting, documenting, and communicating requirements, process modelling and improvements, project management and business communication among others.

In addition, students study topics such as business analysis core concept models, requirement documents. and software testing development life cycles and methodologies. The program also covers many industry applications and techniques such as SQL, Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Power BI Waterfall and Agile Methodologies and Requirements Elicitation among others.

The Supply Chain Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will enhance the credentials of successful students, enabling them to demonstrate understanding, knowledge, skills and expertise in supply chain to potential employers. It will further provide students with the ability to envision and produce their own supply chain career plan in preparation for employment.

Emphasis is placed upon learning the elements of supply chain strategic planning, network design, materials handling design and applications and operations. The program will enable students to analyze end-to-end supply chain processes and understand the importance of technology and software applications  in facilitating and supporting supply chain execution. Students will experience a mix of classroom study, online research, hands-on computer applications, individual assignments, group projects, topical quizzes, projects and field study.

The Hotel & Resort Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate program is designed for students intending to pursue a career in the hotel and resort industry for supervisory and management roles. Students can expect to be immersed in an innovative curriculum, formed from industry expertise and managerial skills.

The content is related to the pillars of the hospitality industry, including: entrepreneurial thinking, accounting and finance, marketing and sales, food and beverage, accommodations and human resources. Courses will assist students with the knowledge and ability to transition directly into the industry at the knowledge and ability to transition directly into the industry at the conclusion of the program, with a strong understanding of the internal relationships between departments and the various business functions that drive performance in the hotel and resort industry.

This program is taught in a hybrid format using the Student-Centered Hybrid Learning Approach. This program requires students to purchase mandatory courseware. This fee will be applied to the student account in the third term.

The Computer Programmer, two-year diploma program offers students the opportunity to study current trends in web technologies, computer programming, database, project management, and mobile development. This intensive, two-year program concludes with a work term for eligible students.

Web technology topics include HTML5, CSS5, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON and NodeJS. Students work with server-side programming languages including Microsoft C#.NET, Python and Java. In the database components, students perform all aspects of database design and work with SQL/NOSQL on several database management systems (DSMS). Students demonstrate their knowledge and skills by developing solutions to real world, three tiered (client, server, database) problems.

Major coursework is assigned as term projects that span entire terms allowing students to actively engage in the evaluation, design and implementation of real world software applications. As a result, student develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication skills.

In addition, general education, business, math and communication courses help students expand their organizational, critical thinking and communication skills.

The widespread use of computer technology in all industries, from manufacturing, transportation, construction, education, health and financial institutions means that computer programmers are the key people shaping the solutions of today and tomorrow.

The Lambton College Marketing Management - Digital Media, Ontario College Graduate Certificate, is designed to provide students with both the theoretical and hands-on skills necessary in today's digital media marketing world. The emergence of social media, mobile tools and other new technologies has created a need for highly trained, creative individuals who can combine traditional marketing strategies with digital, online platforms to create and maintain an effective online presence for businesses they represent.

Curriculum will initially focus on the foundational knowledge in marketing that is necessary prior to integrating digital marketing strategies in businesses. Student utilize aspects of primary and secondary market research, statistics, databases, and various digital media platforms to integrate into digital marketing plans. New and emerging interactive media will be studies, and students will integrate these into various projects. The final term will enhance all earning outcomes through a research or co-operative education work term.
