The common study course enables students on DEC programs at the International School of Hotel Management & Tourism to acquire knowledge in hospitality, tourism and the restaurant business.

From Fall 2020, Hotel Management Technique students will have the option to divide their time between the College and an employer establishment to receive practical, concrete and paid field training. LaSalle College’s Work-Integrated Learning – Remunerated option is unique in Montréal.

This DEC also offers practical experience through service and supervision classes in our restaurant-school La Classe, at several major events and conferences, and on courses and professional visits. This enables our students to be versatile and form ties with people in the industry.

The Professional Cooking program (DEP) is designed for creative, independent students with a strong interest in cooking and gastronomy. It’s an excellent way to acquire the skills necessary for a stimulating career.

Providing access to many university programs, the Individual and Society profile leads students to identify, analyze and deepen notions of psychology while examining contemporary, local and international social issues.

The program has three profiles: Citizenship and Civilization, International Management and Individual and Society. The Computer Science Technology - Video Game Programming training program was developed with studios ranked among global video game leaders. You’ll acquire the knowledge necessary to secure a choice position in the video game industry.

You’ll be able to help design a Triple-A game, join a multidisciplinary team from an independent studio, produce a mobile app or even develop your own video game.

This video game programmer training uses the most popular programming tools in the industry (Unity, Unreal, C/C++/C#, Gameplay), allowing you to learn programming fundamentals, as well as the particularities specific to video games. LaSalle College’s Managing Senior-Citizen Homes program is designed to keep pace with the projected development and consolidation in the senior citizen housing network, a rapidly-growing industry.

According to the Institut de la statistique du Québec, the number of people above age 65 will double over the next 20 years. Consequently, the demand for retirement homes will increase significantly. Many large-scale projects are currently in the works and there is high demand for workers. According to recent statistics*, 1000 positions per year will be added within the next 20 years.

This training focuses on a career for the future, giving graduates access to management and supervisory roles in a people-focused environment that also emphasizes service quality.

A well-planned interior design has a concrete impact on a room’s functionality, as well as the wellness and safety of the people who use that room. That’s why interior design isn’t limited to decor. It’s a career that requires both technical and creative knowledge.

In addition to becoming an expert in technical and architectural drawings, 3D models and working drawings, students will develop their own style and expand their creativity. They will then be able to:

• Select materials, finishes and colors that are best suited to a project’s requirements
• Design unique, custom, ergonomic furniture

Trends are always evolving in the interior design industry. That’s why the three-year DEC in Interior Design is taught by well-known professionals who still work in the field. At the end of their training, students will know how to:

• Create visually appealing, functional and safe interior design concepts for residential, commercial, cultural and industrial projects
• Use popular industry software like SketchUp, AutoCAD, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Revit, etc.

This Video Editing AEC course teaches the basics of television, compositing, audio mixing and the whole process of editing, from acquiring media to “mastering”. When you have graduated, you will be able to use your creativity as a junior or senior video editor for public, corporate and web television. You will be the editor who is most up to the challenge!

Beyond working with our AVID Media composer certified teacher to learn this key software for the industry, students of the Video Editing course will learn to master the Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Final cut.

The Accounting and Management Technology program (AEC) is designed for students looking for a promising career in finance and accounting

Its purpose is to teach all the tasks and functions of this profession.
