• Learn how to develop, review and update emergency policies and programs based upon relevant legislation, standards and procedures, and what is required to conduct effective hazards identification and risk assessments.
• Explore developing, conducting and evaluating training programs and exercises to test current emergency management programs while assessing the integration and compatibility of various emergency polices, plans and procedures.
• Develop strategies for implementing and maintaining a business continuity plan that will ensure the recovery of normal operations for affected businesses and industries.

This program prepares participants to monitor and control radiation exposure and to implement safety measures. Radiation safety technicians and specialists work together with physicists, occupational safety and health specialists and public health officials in various nuclear, health care and natural environments.

Students will learn about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science through training in predictive, descriptive, and prescriptive analytics. Graduates will be equipped with relevant skills that can be applied to a range of industries, which increasingly use these cutting-edge technologies.

• Create pneumatic and hydraulic circuits based on common industrial processes.
• Use welding processes to create projects.
• Design components using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and CAD/CAM.

Protection, security and investigation (PSI) is all about being prepared – learning how to deal with any situation and then practising these scenarios so you’re ready to face them in the real world:

• Two four-week on-the-job placements, which can be completed locally or from coast to coast. The program coordinator organizes placements.
• Receive hands-on training in surveillance, arrest and restraint techniques, managing conflict, emergency planning and incident response to serious situations.
• Conduct your own crime scene investigation, gathering evidence, conducting interviews, taking statements, and sharpening your skills in critical thinking and problem solving.
• Prepare to secure the job you want with panel interviews, résumé writing, portfolio development and justice job testing.
