The art of floral design requires expertise with colour, materials, shape and space. Floral designers must understand how flowers and foliage become tools to achieve the right arrangement for the occasion. The eight-month Floral Design certificate program frames this understanding in a creative and business context to allow for artistic arrangements that satisfy the aesthetics of the designer and the customer.

Through active, hands-on learning experiences in the floral lab, you will understand how to integrate theory and practice to produce the perfect design.

This four-year degree program will provide you with the fundamental principles of a well-rounded undergraduate education and a solid foundation in business management. Mandatory Degree Co-op
Students must take part in a work experience that includes at least one term in a formal work environment. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the work experience. The successful completion of the co-op work term(s) is required for graduation. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. This two-year Computer Systems Technician diploma program offers you the skills and knowledge needed to meet the challenges of the ever-changing field of information technology administration. In Seneca’s modern labs, you will enhance your abilities by completing practical, hands-on training in networking, operating systems, security and cloud computing.

Your studies will teach you to design and implement wireless, local/wide area and software-defined networks; how to work with and configure open source and proprietary operating systems; and how to work on premises and in the cloud taking you into the future of IT administration.

New for 2021: Seneca has launched the Flights Experiential Hub at Newnham Campus. This state-of-the-art training centre is the first of its kind among Canadian postsecondary institutions. It includes a B737 cabin simulator, an A320 door simulator, a mock airline interior cabin, and an aircraft evacuation slide, all to provide you with real-life learning experiences. While many of the program's courses remain online, they are balanced with opportunities to study on-campus, using authentic airline safety and emergency equipment in semesters two, three and four.

Field Placement
As part of your program credit hours, you will complete 150 hours of field placement in the fourth semester. You will receive assistance from your professor, but it is your responsibility to confirm a placement upon successful completion of all third semester subjects before accepting a field placement position.

If you are dreaming of participating in the design and creation of the built environment, then this program is for you. In this three-year advanced diploma program, you will study principles of highway, municipal and building design, geotechniques, soil mechanics, building code and develop skills in materials testing and surveying. You will also learn to use many computer software packages such as AutoCAD, MicroSurvey, Civil 3D, ArcGIS and other advanced software packages specific to specializations in building, municipal or transportation. By the end of your program you will work independently and in teams on capstone projects and technical reports which will reflect the culmination of several skills acquired by you during the program.

In this two-year diploma program, you will use building systems software to learn leading theory and practice for heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, air handling, electricity and control systems. You will learn the principles of energy efficiency, including the exploration of emerging renewable energy technologies, which are a major component.
