This eight-month graduate certificate program focuses on the long-term economic, environmental and social value of sustainable business strategy.

This program is designed to meet the growing needs of professionals who can propose, measure and evaluate sustainability initiatives. You will learn to develop and implement economically viable, lean business strategies for existing organizations or pursue entrepreneurship in sustainability. As a student of this program, you will have access to our HELIX innovation incubator.

Skills
You will learn to measure and reduce carbon footprints, recommend lean business strategies and integrate sustainability initiatives and strategies within several projects.

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term(s) in a formal work environment. The work term(s) is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. This three-year advanced diploma program provides you with the in-depth understanding of how the increasingly strategic nature of purchasing influences other major functional areas of an organization. The program will help you pursue careers in purchasing, supply chain management, inventory management or logistics.

You will also build a practical understanding of contemporary management theory and learn about tools that are essential to managing the supply base of an organization. Your learning will be enhanced through seminars, plant tours, case analysis and business simulations. Your learning will be further advanced by current and industry expert faculty members.

Field Placement
Students with the desire and the minimum GPA requirement will have the opportunity to participate in a field placement program to gain practical work experience in the supply chain field.

This two-year diploma program will develop your knowledge of the complexities of the movement of goods and services across the globe. In addition to building your business management skills and knowledge, you will receive training in international selling and marketing, international trade documentation and transportation selection. You will apply communication, networking and teamwork skills to support international trade, using current applications and tools. You will also understand and learn to prepare documents and follow procedures to support the movement of products and services across international borders.

Field Placement
Field Placement is a valuable component of the Fashion Arts program and is a requirement for graduation.

The Cloud Architecture & Administration graduate certificate program will provide you with knowledge and skills to become an essential part of a modern information technology (IT) team. You will learn how to effectively and securely integrate IT infrastructure, including cloud services, internet of things devices and traditional on-premises equipment. You will also develop an understanding of potential issues with privacy and the law and how to mitigate those risks. During the program, you will gain essential leadership and management skills, providing opportunities for you to advance in your career.

As a graduate of this program, you will receive a certificate from MSR, the e-customs company, and there will be opportunities for you to pursue a certificate in international freight forwarding from the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA).
