In this three-year advanced diploma program, you will develop a solid understanding of contemporary management theory before learning the skills required to plan, start-up, manage and expand a successful small business. Seminars, case analysis and online business simulations will be an integral part of your learning process.
As a student of this program, you may earn the opportunity to participate in Seneca’s Shark’s Pond event. Here, you will pitch and defend your business ideas to industry leaders. Many past competitors have launched their business ideas after graduating.

In this four-year honours degree program you will develop accounting, finance, management, and technology competencies. Mandatory Degree Co-op
A work experience that includes at least one term in a formal work environment. In most cases the work term(s) is a paid position that is completed between two academic semesters and requires a minimum of 420 hours of work. Students must be in good standing and meet all identified requirements prior to participating in the work experience. The successful completion of the co-op work term(s) is required for graduation. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee that a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the mandatory co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

Fieldwork

The work term(s) is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. This two-year diploma program prepares you for entry-level roles on the front line of the financial services industry.

You will learn fundamental business principles and practices that will allow you to provide financial advice related to day-to-day banking, credit and mutual fund investments. You will have the opportunity to complete industry-demanded courses that will open career opportunities in the investment and property and casualty insurance industries. This 12-month graduate certificate program is a fast-track option for four-year degree graduates to pursue a career in accounting wishing to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation. You will study financial and management accounting, tax, information systems, audit, finance and economics focusing on analysis and interpretation of information and making sound ethical decisions.

You will be introduced to the modern technological environment of business using spreadsheets (Excel), database software (Access) and integrated database application technologies (ERP) through exposure to accounting software package(s). You will also gain industry exposure through research, case studies and projects.

You are eligible to enrol in this program with little or no knowledge of accounting. Upon graduation, you can choose to continue to complete an accounting degree such as Seneca's Accounting and Finance degree, or pursue your CPA professional designation (minimum grade requirements apply).
