Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design

Endorsed by the Public Affairs Association of Canada and the Government Relations Institute of Canada, this eight-month graduate certificate program features specialized practical government relations training that will prepare you for careers in government relations.

You will learn to work with organizations and clients to co-ordinate and support their efforts to monitor, analyze and shape government action on existing and proposed legislation and regulation.
Government relations professionals establish long term relationships with government policy makers, utilizing strategic planning, issue analysis, lobbying, and stakeholder engagement skills to shape public policy and regulatory issues.

Optional Work Term
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional work term in a formal work environment. The work term is similar in length to an academic semester and typically involves full-time work hours that may be paid or unpaid. In programs with limited work term opportunities, additional academic requirements may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional work term stream regardless of success in securing a work position. To qualify, students must achieve an overall GPA of 3.5 in their first semester, a minimum grade of "A" (80 per cent) in GRM700 and GRM701 and be recommended by the program

In this two-year diploma program, you will learn about concepts, audio and video production and how to produce creative and engaging video content from script writing through to a final audio mix and everything in between. The hands-on experience offered by expert professionals, combined with your interest in video production, will enable you to become proficient in creating professional content for a variety of different platforms.

Field Placement
This program includes a valuable field placement that allows you to put your studies to practice in a professional broadcast setting. You'll be required to complete 100 hours of field placement before graduating from this program.

Sports, entertainment and events represent a multibillion-dollar global industry that is dynamically evolving. Consumer demand for sports, esports and entertainment in live, virtual or hybrid formats is driving industry innovation and growth. So, too, is the prevalence of brand experiential and sponsorship marketing.

In this eight-month graduate certificate program, you will learn about this industry and the integrated roles that event properties, marketing agencies and brand sponsors play. You will learn to apply the principles of strategic marketing and brand management to the development of event properties and experiential marketing campaigns. This program prepares you for careers in the sports, entertainment and event marketing fields that span the private, non-profit and public sectors.

This one-year certificate program is designed to provide you with the core knowledge, skills and abilities fundamental to academic success in health sciences and other high affinity programs. You will develop knowledge and skills in communications, mathematics, human anatomy, biology, and organic/inorganic chemistry. You will be well prepared to further your study in the health sciences at either the diploma or baccalaureate level. The program also provides you with the opportunity to learn about potential careers in the health sciences, and to identify other programs focusing on the biological or chemical sciences that will enable you to achieve your career objectives.

This three-year advanced diploma program will prepare you to become a marketing leader. You will learn to develop, integrate and execute marketing strategies for new and existing products and services. You will be challenged to be creative, analytical and tactical to identify, build and sustain a loyal customer base through unique marketing approaches.Your learning will be further advanced through the use of innovative and applied delivery techniques such as problem-based learning, real-life projects and case study analysis.

Optional Co-op
Students meeting all academic requirements may have the opportunity to complete an optional co-op work term(s) in a formal work environment. In most cases the work term(s) is a full-time paid position completed between two academic semesters. In programs with limited co-op opportunities, additional academic requirements and a passing grade on a communication assessment may be required for eligibility. Eligibility for participation does not guarantee a work position will be secured. Additional fees are required for those participating in the optional co-op stream regardless of success in securing a work position.

This two-year diploma program will provide you with a solid foundation of marketing. You will have a detailed understanding of integrated marketing communications, selling, strategies and analysis, web design, research and channel management.

Seneca is the only post-secondary institution offering the accelerated Real Property Administration program (Assessment and Appraisal). In this eight-month diploma program, you will develop expertise in all aspects of property valuation and property tax sectors.  You will advance expertise in all aspects of property valuation – in both the property appraisal and property assessment fields, including all aspects of the property assessment system, the assessment appeals process, and property tax calculation and administration.

Built on three pillars — creative, technical, industry — you will learn every aspect of documentary production, from story idea to pitching, shooting and editing, and market and distribution.

As a graduate of this program, you will be engaged in pre-production (research and development,) production (principal photography,) and post-production (editing) as you wear multiple hats as a director, producer, cinematographer and editor to make your first documentary film.

The program will focus on business skills along with the technical and design capabilities needed to create dynamic interactive experiences in video games, mobile apps and other online environments. The curriculum will be complemented with courses that address critical thinking, global awareness and research methods to develop evidence-based, rich interactive design.

The program will also equip you with entrepreneurial skills to explore small-business opportunities and, in the fourth year of the program, you will work on a final capstone project about launching an idea from inception.
