heridan’s Honours BAHS Athletic Therapy program was designed to provide you with the skills you need to become a certified athletic therapist.
State-of-the-art education:-
Sheridan's facilities include a new, state-of-the-art Athletic Therapy Clinic with aquatic rehab, dedicated lab space with brand new equipment and new training facilities. All educators are Certified Athletic Therapists with advanced degrees in the areas of rehabilitation sciences, biomechanics and physiology, as well as extensive experience working in the field.
What you'll gain:-

• Advanced athletic therapy skills such as field assessment and injury treatment, clinical assessment and rehabilitation.
• Entrepreneurial business skills to help you establish a practice.

• 1,200 hours of embedded athletic therapy course experience while in school.

This program is the first of its kind in Canada. It addresses the need for a new way of looking at community safety, focusing on prevention, preparedness and social justice. Traditional law enforcement methods are expensive and don’t always address the diverse needs of Canadian society. That’s why the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, non-profits, and graduate programs endorse this degree.

You’ll also learn how global events, like war and climate change, affect people at the local level. How do these events shape our perception of safety? How does the use of social media influence our understanding of these events? Throughout this program, you’ll develop a strong understanding of the challenges communities face. And you’ll explore new ways to address those issues.

An integrated approach
This program offers a new model for community wellness. It combines the social sciences, leadership, policing and crisis management. Projects span classes and subjects, so you’ll develop a broad perspective.

• Creativity and a passion for working with vulnerable and marginalized communities will serve you well in this program. You’ll build on your communication, research and critical thinking skills. And you’ll learn how to collaborate, facilitate and negotiate.
• You’ll also have the chance to apply your unique skills to a full-time co-op work term between Semesters 7 and 8. You'll work in areas related to your career interests, such as government, law enforcement or non-profit work.

Enter the job market with practical, marketable software development and network engineering skills

In Sheridan's Computer Systems Technology – Software Development and Network Engineering program, you'll gain experience with many platforms and environments. Using cutting-edge computer systems technologies (such as Android, iOS and Unity) and industry standards (such as Java, Oracle, C, C# and .NET), you'll learn to create solutions to real-world problems.

Gain valuable, practical experience
During your time at Sheridan, you'll have the opportunity to apply for a co-op placement where you can get paid workplace experience in software development and network engineering. You may be able to earn a high-paying co-op placement, and many of our students are hired by their co-op employers after graduation. You'll need to fill out a separate co-op application and enrolment is limited.

As an electromechanical engineering technologist, you’ll have a deeper understanding of automation and robotics than graduates of our two-year Electromechanical Engineering Technician program. Enhance your knowledge with courses in programmable logic controllers, robotic programming and applications, electropneumatics, fluid power, HVAC, computer integrated manufacturing, 3D modelling and more.

Showcase your abilities through a capstone project and optional co-op
Prove yourself to employers before you even graduate! In your final semester, you’ll work with fellow engineering students on a capstone project that provides solutions for our industry partners. You can also apply for a paid co-op work placement that provides one year of real-world experience. Some of our students have been hired as a direct result of their capstone or co-op participation.

Sheridan's Internet Communications Technology program provides an in-depth curriculum on the technologies of the Internet. The longest-standing Internet engineering undergraduate program in Canada, this program will provide you with a great deal of hands-on experience. Our grads specialize in network communications and security, and work for a variety of Canadian and global institutions.

Hands-on experience

• You'll acquire a comprehensive understanding of Internet infrastructure, architecture and security, gaining hands-on experience in:
  • Internet engineering: routing, design and protocol
  • WiFi systems: power measurement, design, security, deployment
  • Voice over IP: design, build and test

Sheridan's Electrical Engineering Technician program offers you the opportunity to gain proficiency in advanced electrical and communication principles. You'll graduate from this two-year program with extensive hands-on experience and a broad skill set applicable to a wide range of industry contexts.

The need for skilled welders is growing in Canada. Sheridan's welding programs offer superior training and a pathway into this highly desirable trade. You'll get a thorough, practical education in the most current welding techniques and theories. Upon graduation, you'll be qualified to enter an apprenticeship as a welder, boilermaker, pipefitter, steamfitter, millwright or sheet-metal mechanic.

Canadian Welding Bureau certification:-
Our welding programs provide opportunities for Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification. Welding and Fabrication Technician diploma students may challenge structural steel tests in four welding processes to obtain up to 13 licences. In our 1-year Welding Techniques certificate program, students may test in three welding processes in the flat position to obtain up to three licences.
