Professors in this program also teach in Sheridan’s kinesiology degree and have real-world experience working with clients in many capacities — including clinical exercise rehab, chronic disease prevention and management, injury rehab, high performance, and strength and conditioning. They will closely guide you through problem-based curriculum specifically designed for clinical professionals.

Be part of an exciting and in-demand field. Our Community and Justice Services program looks at criminal justice through the lens of corrections and rehabilitation. Learn to work with individuals in the court system, during imprisonment and after release. After graduation, you may work as a correctional officer or help others re-enter society at a halfway house or other community agency.

Sheridan’s Community and Justice Services program gives you a strong foundation that gets you ready for the workplace. You’ll explore the social sciences, such as psychology, criminal law and criminology. You’ll learn through lectures, guest speakers and group activities. Field experience
The Community and Justice Services program has two practicum terms. You’ll first have an interview to talk about your career interests. Then you’ll do a field placement in a community and justice agency. You could work at an adult institution, youth facility, community agency or residential facility. These practicums can be a great path to employment.

Things you'll learn
Through practical, hands-on classroom activities, you’ll learn to make business decisions, plan, work with a team, use business computer applications and write effective business correspondence. The first year will provide you with a solid grounding in business fundamentals, and the second year will allow you to specialize, taking courses that meet your particular career interests and goals.

The need for skilled welders is growing in Canada. Sheridan's welding programs offer superior training and a pathway into this highly desirable trade. You'll get a thorough, practical education in the most current welding techniques and theories. Upon graduation, you'll be qualified to enter an apprenticeship as a welder, boilermaker, pipefitter, steamfitter, millwright or sheet-metal mechanic.

Canadian Welding Bureau certification:-
Our welding programs provide opportunities for Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification. Welding and Fabrication Technician diploma students may challenge structural steel tests in four welding processes to obtain up to 13 licences. In our 1-year Welding Techniques certificate program, students may test in three welding processes in the flat position to obtain up to three licences.

After building a strong foundation of mechanical engineering design knowledge in your first two years, you’ll study more specialized subjects in your final two semesters. An understanding of niche concepts such as mechanical design and simulation, kinematics, building facilities layout, HVAC, sustainable design and design analysis may lead to better career opportunities when you graduate.

Gain real-world experience and build connections
Sheridan’s labs simulate the workplace, but they can’t completely replicate it. Put your new mechanical engineering skills to work for our industry partners in two 12-month paid co-op terms: one after your third semester and another in your third year of studies. You’ll also collaborate with peers to help our partners resolve a real-world issue in your capstone research project.

This diploma program gives you the specialized training you need to practice as a registered pharmacy technician
Critical training
This program is accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs. You'll learn in state-of-the-art facilities designed to replicate the drug distribution systems used in today's pharmacy settings, and will receive the specialized training you need to work as a pharmacy technician in a community, hospital or other pharmacy practice site.
