The need for skilled welders is growing in Canada. Sheridan's welding programs offer superior training and a pathway into this highly desirable trade. You'll get a thorough, practical education in the most current welding techniques and theories. Upon graduation, you'll be qualified to enter an apprenticeship as a welder, boilermaker, pipefitter, steamfitter, millwright or sheet-metal mechanic.
Canadian Welding Bureau certification:-
Our welding programs provide opportunities for Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification. Welding and Fabrication Technician diploma students may challenge structural steel tests in four welding processes to obtain up to 13 licences. In our 1-year Welding Techniques certificate program, students may test in three welding processes in the flat position to obtain up to three licences.

Students who wish to work in Canada require a work permit to do so. A student in Canada can work part-time during the course of his studies and full-time during holidays and semester breaks and post the completion of their course/program.
You can also work part-time on campus at your university.
Duration
Your part-time work permit will be valid for as long as you have a valid study permit.
20 Hours/Week
As a full-time student, you can work for a maximum of 20 hours a week. However, you can work full- time during holidays and breaks.

There is no maximum limit, and you can work for as many hours as you want on the full-time work permit.

The student visa is valid for the entire period of your course plus three months.

Be part of an exciting and in-demand field. Our Community and Justice Services program looks at criminal justice through the lens of corrections and rehabilitation.
