Learn how accounting supports business
Businesses rely on accountants to monitor their performance, compliance and financial health. Your first year will involve common curriculum shared by all business administration students, providing you with an understanding of how companies work. Topics of study include communications, finance, human resources and marketing — all areas of business you’ll impact as an accountant.

Specialize your skills through electives
Study advanced accounting principles that aren’t covered in our two-year Business Accounting program! In your final year, you can master skills essential for employment in the field’s more demanding positions. Choose from a broad selection of electives, including courses in tax, auditing, budgeting, business analysis and financial statement preparation.

Optional accounting co-op placement
Enjoy the opportunity to earn while you learn! All advanced diploma students have the option of gaining more than 1,000 hours of work experience through a co-op work term. Co-op is a competitive program and you’ll need to meet certain academic requirements to participate. Connections you build during your work term may lead to employment opportunities after you graduate.

Sheridan’s accounting professors are actively involved in the industry, presenting at conferences and contributing to publications of accounting textbooks and articles. Many also hold the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation and maintain strong ties with the business community, which may assist you with obtaining a co-op work term.

Advertising - Account Management
Sheridan's Advertising – Account Management graduate certificate program, you’ll learn to plan, develop and create complete digital and traditional advertising campaigns. You’ll graduate with confidence, ready to contribute your skills to a professional advertising agency. Throughout this program, students also will learn to:

• Produce and deliver professional campaign pitches.
• Develop and communicate a product’s brand identity.

Marketing Management
The Marketing Management program at Sheridan provides students with the digital marketing expertise that employers are looking for. During this course, students will learn how to:

• Apply search engine marketing, social media promotion and marketing analytics principles to optimize your organization's marketing efforts.
• Learn basic marketing graphics skills to create support materials such as brochures, newsletters and web page updates.
• Write marketing and communications plans.

In the fast-growing field of supply chain management, you’ll oversee and coordinate purchase of materials, production, storage and delivery of products. Complement your Supply Chain Management degree with a unique certificate that demonstrates your ability to think creatively! In addition to your core BBA courses, you’ll have the opportunity to take electives that will enable you to earn a Sheridan Board Undergraduate Certificate in Creativity and Creative Problem Solving. 50% of our June 2019 BBA graduates earned this optional certificate, which is endorsed by the State University of New York.

Co-op
The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs all include a one-semester internship where students will fulfill many of the program learning outcomes and become prepared for future employment. After the completion of a minimum of 60 credits, students may also apply to participate in the BBA Co-op program, which allows students to complete three additional work terms to a total of four work terms. Enrolment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional Co-op application process.

Co-op/Internship allows students to take ownership and responsibility for their own growth and development through practice in real-life employment environments. Our work terms are scenarios where students can apply their critical, creative, and reflective thinking in a way that maximizes their workplace experiences and preparedness for full-time employment after graduation.

Sheridan's BBA Co-op program has built-in flexibility for students to select their path and schedule for Co-op work terms, may lead to paid employment during the work term, and further supports students to develop their entrepreneurial thinking skills and capacity for responsible risk-taking in a complex workplace environment.

Creative Industries Management
The creative industries need skilled professionals who understand both the business and creative side of media. Sheridan's Creative Industries Management is a specialized eight-month program designed to prepare graduates as managers and entrepreneurs in the arts. With an understanding of management, financing and marketing you'll be ready for a career in film, television, video games and more.

Co-op experience
Eligible students (see About Co-op) can acquire invaluable work experience in the international business field through a work-term cooperative education assignment following completion of the academic portion of the program. Business Analysis and Process Management
Sheridan's Business Analysis and Process Management graduate certificate program is accredited by the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council through its National Accreditation Program, gives students the skills they need to improve operational efficiency, save money, and drive business value. Throughout this program, students will learn to:

• Develop business processes to achieve organizational goals.
• Integrate appropriate technologies for analysis and development of business processes.
• Create sound business arguments, using financial and cost analysis to justify any process change.
• Use SAP enterprise resource planning software (Sheridan is a member of the SAP University Alliances program).

Marketing Management
