Things you'll learn to do

• Apply search engine marketing, social media promotion and marketing analytics principles to optimize your organization's marketing efforts.

Co-op experience
Following eight months of classroom instruction, eligible students will have the opportunity to participate in a four-month cooperative education placement. Note that this is a competitive process and only qualified students are accepted. Working in the marketing field, you’ll apply your in-class learning and gain valuable work experience that may boost your career—and help you land a great job.

Business Analysis and Process Management

Things you'll do and learn

• Develop business processes to achieve organizational goals.
• Integrate appropriate technologies for analysis and development of business processes.
• Create sound business arguments, using financial and cost analysis to justify any process change.
• Use SAP enterprise resource planning software (Sheridan is a member of the SAP University Alliances program).

Innovative learning

• Case Studies: allow you to explore practical situations in a structured learning environment.
• Industry Project: As part of a small consulting team, you'll tackle a real business problem with a client company.
• Co-op: At the end of the academic portion of the program, you may apply to participate in a work term to gain further hands-on experience.

Our Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs feature an innovative experiential learning model that prepares you for the workplace. You won't get a lecture-style environment where you're asked to memorize content. Instead, you'll use collaboration, hands-on learning and experimentation to actively apply your knowledge and solve business problems that simulate the real world.

Learn the general principles and applications that modern accountants rely on. Expert professors will guide you through foundational concepts in a small classroom environment, supporting their lectures with hands-on learning opportunities. You’ll gain experience using spreadsheets and databases. You’ll also learn to use accounting and tax software programs such as Sage 50, MS Access and Profile.

Critical training
This program offers the opportunity to build foundational skills needed in any business administration career, and delivers hands-on training in vital HR skills through case studies, guest speakers, simulated negotiation situations and group work. You'll learn about the latest trends in organizational behaviour, human resources planning and employment law.

Sheridan’s Honours Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting program prepares you for an exciting career in business, accounting or finance.

In the first two years of your program, you'll gain a solid grounding in the functional areas of a business. Building on this foundation, you'll focus on financial and cost analysis, taxation, assurance, ethical and regulatory compliance, and financial reporting in your third and fourth years.

In the fast-growing field of supply chain management, you’ll oversee and coordinate purchase of materials, production, storage and delivery of products. Complement your Supply Chain Management degree with a unique certificate that demonstrates your ability to think creatively! In addition to your core BBA courses, you’ll have the opportunity to take electives that will enable you to earn a Sheridan Board Undergraduate Certificate in Creativity and Creative Problem Solving. 50% of our June 2019 BBA graduates earned this optional certificate, which is endorsed by the State University of New York.

Co-op
The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs all include a one-semester internship where students will fulfill many of the program learning outcomes and become prepared for future employment. After the completion of a minimum of 60 credits, students may also apply to participate in the BBA Co-op program, which allows students to complete three additional work terms to a total of four work terms. Enrolment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional Co-op application process.

Co-op/Internship allows students to take ownership and responsibility for their own growth and development through practice in real-life employment environments. Our work terms are scenarios where students can apply their critical, creative, and reflective thinking in a way that maximizes their workplace experiences and preparedness for full-time employment after graduation.

Sheridan's BBA Co-op program has built-in flexibility for students to select their path and schedule for Co-op work terms, may lead to paid employment during the work term, and further supports students to develop their entrepreneurial thinking skills and capacity for responsible risk-taking in a complex workplace environment.

International Business Management
The professors who teach Sheridan's International Business courses are personally experienced in international business. They are continually updating the program so that it accurately reflects current international market conditions, challenges and regulations.

Co-op Experience
Eligible students (see About Co-op) can acquire invaluable work experience in the international business field through a work-term cooperative education assignment following completion of the academic portion of the program. This training experience gives you an ideal way to apply what you have learned in class and explore different career paths.

Advertising – Account Management
In this graduate certificate program, you’ll learn to plan, develop and create complete digital and traditional advertising campaigns. You’ll graduate with confidence, ready to contribute your skills to a professional advertising agency.

Co-op option: Get advertising work experience
Co-op experience can make all the difference. As an advertising student at Sheridan, you can apply for a four-month co-op work term.
