Anthropologists study humans: who we are, what we do, what we say, what we look like, and what we believe in.

At UNB, Anthropology is a holistic discipline, meaning you’ll examine humans, both past and present, as biological, cultural, and social beings. You’ll explore three central subfields – sociocultural anthropology, archeology, and biological anthropology – and you’ll have access to our expanded lab facility that includes a vast collection of human, hominid, and primate teaching specimens.

We use a range of learning styles and innovative teaching methods, and we incorporate findings from our research. Our small class sizes mean greater interaction between you, your instructors, and your peers.

As a Bachelor of Information Sciences (B.I.Sc.) graduate, you will learn how to establish programs to collect and analyze data, which will better equip people to function within their work environments.

The interdisciplinary B.I.Sc. program at University of New Brunswick Saint John draws upon business administration, mathematics, computer science, and economics, with a focus on the methods and techniques for effective collection and analysis of data.

You can choose a specialization which will allow you to concentrate on your areas of interest and application:

• Decision and Business Management
• Decision and Systems Science.

Our BScEC program will introduce you to the function and roles of Canadian and global economies, and the tools economists use to analyze the decisions made by individuals and businesses. Our BScEC graduates are well-qualified for jobs in economics or finance, or the pursuit of graduate studies in either field.

The Pre-MBA Program is full-time, intensive, non-credit program offered by Saint John College and UNB Saint John's Master of Business Administration program. It is designed to help international students bridge the gap between their undergraduate education, work experience and the entry requirements of UNB Saint John's MBA program.

The Pre-MBA program is designed for international students who have been conditionally accepted to the UNB Saint John MBA Program but who need to increase their level of English language ability and/or gain work experience.

Mathematics puts our world in order. Arts students may major or minor in Mathematics, studying calculus, geometry, algebra, statistics and mathematical theory. Mathematics provides the framework for scientific theory in applied, natural and social sciences and the principles underlying economics and business studies.

The University of New Brunswick Saint John's Bachelor of Applied Management Ecommerce (BAMEC) program complements technical and programming skills gained through a college education with university-level studies on how business is conducted in the new economy.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of how technical and business issues relate to e-commerce and the information economy, and you will gain a competitive edge over your fellow college graduates in business technology.

In BAMEC you will further your technical knowledge and expertise through courses that explore the application and evolution of Wi-Fi networks, E-learning in corporate settings, E-health networks, and various other virtual learning environments.

Statistics is the collection and interpretation of data. At the University of New Brunswick Saint John, you will learn to develop tools to predict behaviour and actions across a variety of sectors including government, business, science and academia.

In your first year you will be required to take introductory mathematics courses in calculus as well as two introductory courses in probability and statistics. In your upper years you will build upon this foundation with courses in probability analysis, design and sample surveying. You may declare your major or minor in statistics at the end of your second year.

A degree in statistics prepares you for a career in analyzing a variety of factors for many types of employers including government, business, education and academia.

Our graduates go on to become actuaries, forensic auditors, insurance underwriters, market research analysts, medical researchers, public opinion researchers, statisticians and systems operation analysts.
