The Master of Education in Adult Education and Human Resource Development degree program (MEd AHRD) is intended to prepare individuals for specialized educational roles in organizations involved in training & development, and/or adult training institutions.  Students will be able to select courses in both or either the Adult Education or the Human Resource Development streams, within one combined program.

The Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies offers graduate work leading to a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Health Studies degree. The program offers students the opportunity to critically examine issues within the areas of health, exercise sciences, social science of physical activity and recreation, adapted physical activity, sport management and recreation and leisure studies.

Philosophy is the systematic study of ideas and issues; a reasoned pursuit of fundamental truths; a quest for a comprehensive understanding of ourselves and the world; the study of principles of conduct, thought and knowledge, and much more. One of philosophy's objectives is to break us of the habit of accepting things without question.  Philosophy endeavours to make us aware of the basic assumptions that shape our lives, and to subject them to careful scrutiny.  It is those objectives that produce graduates who are strong in areas of reasoning and problem solving, resulting in virtually limitless employment possibilities.

Electronic Systems Engineering conducts research and offers graduate courses in selected areas of microelectronics, signal processing, instrumentation and communications. The Master of Engineering degree program with a project report attracts practicing engineers. It complements the Graduate Cooperative Education Program which seeks to integrate the academic experience with professional, on-the-job experience to facilitate professional development.

A two-year, 72-credit-hour program of studies, the Diploma in Indigenous Communication Arts (INCA) is offered through the First Nations University of Canada’s Department of Indigenous Communication and Fine Arts. .

Indigenous Communication Arts (INCA) provides academic training and professional experience that supports the entry of Indigenous people into all areas of the communications industry, including Indigenous and mainstream media and public relations. INCA graduates are also eligible to apply to the University of Regina School of Journalism.

INCA prepares students by requiring that they complete courses including Indigenous history and politics, oral traditions, community-based research, business management, traditional and contemporary communication systems, languages, and art. INCA students master basic skills needed for reporting for print and broadcast media and the web and can also study strategic communication planning for public relations.

To qualify for admission to INCA, students must be eligible for admission to the First Nations University of Canada/University of Regina. Proficiency in English must be well above average, and it is strongly recommended that applicants have basic computer skills. Upon being accepted by First Nations University of Canada/University of Regina, students must contact the Faculty or the Department of Indigenous Communication and Fine Arts  which will provide academic and professional advising.

Students can complete the pre-dentistry requirements for the College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan at the University of Regina. Students are eligible to apply to the College of Dentistry after two academic years each consisting of two standard academic terms of eight consecutive months (September to April). Specific courses are required. All applicants must take the Dental Aptitude Test administered by the Canadian Dental Association. Pre-dentistry courses completed at the University of Regina can be used toward a variety of programs at the University of Regina.

Students can complete the pre-nutrition requirements for the Nutrition program at the University of Saskatchewan at the University of Regina. Students are eligible to apply to the Nutrition program after completion of 30 credits hours of specific course requirements. The four-year Bachelor of Music degree program provides excellent preparation in the fields of performance (vocal or instrumental), composition, or comprehensive music. Private studio lessons help students develop their technique and artistry. Individual study is complemented by courses in the history, analysis and theory of music that cover historical and contemporary music. Courses in conducting and participation in dynamic vocal and instrumental ensembles are a source of valuable practical experience and performing opportunities.

Geography and environmental studies differ from other subjects due to their emphasis on space, place, and how humans connect and interact with their environment. Major global challenges of our time, such as climate change, depletion of natural resources, water availability, migration, war and conflict are better understood and addressed by those who have an in-depth knowledge of geography and environmental studies. The subject is diverse and is based on both natural science and social studies.

What is Geography and Environmental Studies?
Geography and Environmental Studies encompasses three areas:

• Human geography
• Physical geography
• Environmental studies

Human geography analyses the way humans use and understand the world and addresses the spatial differentiation and organization of human activity and its interrelationships with the physical environment.

Physical geography—a component of Earth sciences—is the study of the natural processes that occur at and above the surface of the Earth.

Geography is one of mankind’s earliest scientific disciplines and studies the environment – everything that surrounds us, including human beings.

Environmental Studies encompasses the study of the planet and its intricate variety of living and non-living elements and processes, how human beings connect with the physical structures, institutions and economies we build, and the politics, language and culture by which we communicate.

The Petroleum Systems Engineering program in the Faculty of Engineering offers graduate programs focused on conducting research in the areas of enhanced oil recovery (EOR), reservoir modeling and simulation, heavy oil recovery through SAGD and VAPEX processes, miscible and immiscible displacement, fluid-rock interactions, and underground storage of carbon dioxide in depleted or partially-depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs. These graduate programs lead to masters and doctoral degrees.
