What you will learn   
This program will equip you with global literacy and key insights into our interconnected world. You will take classes that explore government, business, culture, the environment, politics and international aspects of law, science, conflict and development. You will learn about inequality globally, challenges to cooperation among states, and the reasons for and complexity of crises and conflicts. You will understand and engage with some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Biomedical neuroscience is the study of molecular and cellular neuroscience, systems and sensory neuroscience, behavioural and cognitive neuroscience, neurophysiology and neuroanatomy.

What you will learn
This program includes education in many of the major topics in neuroscience. This program includes necessary prerequisite courses for life science professional schools (e.g. medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nutrition, veterinary medicine, etc.). While this program focuses on neuroscience, it prepares students for graduate studies in many areas of the life sciences.

Agronomy is a science that finds ways to grow crops more efficiently and profitably while protecting the environment. Agronomy affects us all through the food we eat, the coffee we drink, the ethanol-based gas we use to power our vehicles and the natural fibers in the clothing we wear.

What you will learn
You will examine ways use natural resources efficiently, sustainably and profitably to produce food, feed, fibre and fuel. You will take courses from several disciplines and learn to approach agronomic issues from several different perspectives. You will acquire an understanding of the biological, ecological and economic principles of crop production and soil management, as well as an appreciation of the short and long term effects of agricultural production on the environment.

Biochemistry, microbiology and immunology examines the world of viruses, bacteria, yeasts, moulds and protozoa and the different ways they can affect human and animal health. It advances modern medicine as it studies the immune system and develops protective solutions such as antibiotics and vaccines.

What you will learn
This program will help you develop a strong foundation in biomedical sciences and research skills, as well as provide you with experiential learning opportunities that will be essential to a broad spectrum of science-based careers and further education. You will learn about molecular and cellular approaches to the study of microbial physiology and pathogenesis, protein structure and function, molecular biology, microbial genetics, virology, tumour biology and cancer, immunology and immunopathogenesis.

The Edwards Master of Business Administration program is a transformational experience that focuses around teambuilding, leadership and business strategy. You will learn the people skills of management such as how to manage, how to communicate effectively, and how to lead. Our students develop management skills that are both integrative and strategic, gaining a deeper understanding of organizations and their local and global context. Graduates then enter their professional endeavors with confidence, integrity and accountability. The Edwards MBA Internship Program (EMIP) is an 8-month work experience which starts in January of the 1st year of your MBA degree. If you're admitted to EMIP, and you're successful in securing a placement, you must agree to complete your MBA over a minimum of two years.

The program is designed for students with little or no work experience in their desired field. An internship is a value-added component of the Edwards MBA Program where you're provided with an opportunity to implement the business theory and concepts from your MBA coursework. Work placements also provide increased opportunities for learning, mentorship and post-graduation employment.

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, accredited by the Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration (CAPPA), is designed to prepare students for careers in public administration and policy work in diverse areas such as non-government organizations, industry associations, and, of course, the public service. MPA students are exposed to core concepts in policy formation and analysis, and have the opportunity to explore substantive areas such as social policy, health policy, innovation policy, trade and immigration policy, resource and environmental policy, and public sector management. 

The standard time in the program for the MPA is two years. However, the MPA can be completed in a period as short as 16 months (via an accelerated program) and as long as five years (the maximum time allowed in program for Masters students).

Plant Ecologists study the interactions among plants, between plants and the environment, and between soils, plants and animals. Forestry industries, human and livestock health, and agriculture all depend on healthy plant communities and ecosystems.

What you will learn
Learn how to apply ecological principles to ecosystems such as rangelands, forests, wetlands, and croplands for sustainable production. Applied Plant Ecology integrates principles and advanced knowledge of managing, conserving, and restoring natural and semi-natural landscapes and ecosystems.

Studio art develops your creative potential in a wide range of visual media including: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and digital imaging as well as mixed media work such as installation and performance.

What you will learn
With an intensive studio experience you will develop your creative talents and become technically proficient in the visual mediums. Exploring technical, aesthetic, and theoretical concerns in a critical setting pertinent to the pursuit of art in our culture will prepare you for careers in the visual arts or arts-related fields.

Soil forms an essential part of the environment—affecting or controlling most living things. Soil science studies the soil system to find the best ways of producing food, fuel, and fibre while still preserving soil for use by future generations.

What you will learn
Soil science draws from biology, ecology, geography, geology and a variety of other natural and life sciences. The soil science program at the University of Saskatchewan provides an in-depth understanding of the physical, biological and chemical processes that occur in soil and the role soil plays in plant production and environmental management.

With an industry worth more than $95 billion annually in Canada alone, agribusiness is big business. It is a business of local and global importance, encompassing a huge range of activities that contribute to our supply of food and natural fibres.

Agribusiness comes into play at every stage in the food chain, from primary production to the packaging of your favourite snack food. It is also a dynamic business that must respond to advances in technology, changes in trade and policy and to an ever-changing, consumer-driven marketplace.

You will learn about business management, economics, marketing, finance and sales, as well as the legal and institutional environment that characterize agribusiness.
