Biomedical neuroscience is the study of molecular and cellular neuroscience, systems and sensory neuroscience, behavioural and cognitive neuroscience, neurophysiology and neuroanatomy.

What you will learn
This program includes education in many of the major topics in neuroscience. This program includes necessary prerequisite courses for life science professional schools (e.g. medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nutrition, veterinary medicine, etc.). While this program focuses on neuroscience, it prepares students for graduate studies in many areas of the life sciences.

Sustainable use of our land, water and plant resources is increasingly recognized as a key societal goal. Resource Science provides essential skills and knowledge in applied sciences and resource management which can be used to influence sustainable development such as rejuvenating disturbed land or reducing greenhouse gas emissions from landscapes.

What you will learn
The Resource Science specialization provides you with hands-on, practical experience in field measurement and assessment. You will learn about:

• Environmental site assessment and soil landscape relationships
• In-field understanding of the spatial relationships of ecosites and soil units
• Remediation and reclamation practices
• Analysis and aggregation of field data
• Application of ecological land classification

Studio art develops your creative potential in a wide range of visual media including: painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and digital imaging as well as mixed media work such as installation and performance.

What you will learn
With an intensive studio experience you will develop your creative talents and become technically proficient in the visual mediums. Exploring technical, aesthetic, and theoretical concerns in a critical setting pertinent to the pursuit of art in our culture will prepare you for careers in the visual arts or arts-related fields.

Geophysics is the application of physics to problems in Earth science. Geophysics is widely used in any situation where information on the subsurface is required—for example, environmental assessment and remediation, civil engineering, oceanography and space exploration.

What you will learn
You will study the earth’s interior using techniques based on physics and mathematics. You will participate in a field school that covers the complete range of geophysical tools including seismology, gravity, magnetics and electromagnetic methods which are used extensively in the search for natural resources. You will learn about the physics of earth processes like earthquakes and how to mitigate risks of natural hazards.

Biomedical foundations provides students with a strong foundation of multidisciplinary training in biomedical science while providing flexibility for initial specialization within a particular biomedical science.

What you will learn
This program includes necessary courses to prepare you for entry into health-related professional schools not requiring a four-year degree, such as dentistry, veterinary medicine and pharmacy. You will also learn essential skills for careers in broad aspects of biotechnology, as well as employment in academic/research institutions and related industries.
 

Discover your true potential as a musician, teacher, composer or music theorist. Develop your abilities with individual private lessons in applied study on piano, voice, brass, winds, strings or percussion with nationally and internationally trained instructors.

What you will learn

• You will study performance, composition, music theory, history and literature, and both elementary and secondary music education. You will receive weekly private lessons and ensemble experience every year. You'll engage in significant student-teaching experiences throughout your degree and an extensive internship in the second year of your Bachelor of Education-Sequential Music program.
• Once you are finished your Bachelor of Music - Music Education degree in the College of Arts and Science, you will be accepted automatically into the College of Education so that you can complete a Bachelor of Education - Sequential Music degree in two years. This allows you to finish two degrees in six years.

Our Master of Business Administration (MBA) program helps professionals from all backgrounds who are seeking to advance or change their careers. We do this by offering a learning environment based on practical experience and essential management skills.

The Edwards MBA can be completed in only 12 months if taken full time, or part time in up to 36 months. A decidedly unique aspect of this innovative MBA program is the focused learning and integration of business concepts.  Each course is offered consecutively in a modular format. Courses are scheduled in three week durations creating an intensive learning environment that immerses students in the subject area while allowing flexibility in scheduling your MBA education. Furthermore, our students learn how business concepts are integrated into business decisions through a combination of applied courses, exercises, case studies and projects incorporating each functional business area.

Students in the MBA program participate in a one-week intensive experiential management skills retreat in beautiful Northern Saskatchewan.
