The 3-year B.Sc. Nutrition &Dietetics programme offers opportunities for students to develop Professional competencies in the areas of Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics. Under this programme, students are taught to focus on improving the nutrition status of the people. After the completion of B.Sc. Nutrition & Dietetics degree, a student turns into a qualified nutritionist & dietician, who educate people about proper food choices to promote healthy eating and healthy life-style.

Optometry is the science of dealing with issues and problems related to the eye. A course in Optometry covers every aspect related to understanding the eye, problems, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illnesses and diseases etc. MM(DU) follows the Ministry of Health guidelines and offers lateral entry in Degree course to diploma holders in Optometry in the 3rd semester to balance the gaps in diploma programs. The program covers both clinical and theoretical aspects. Students would get in-depth understanding and training to treat Cornea, Glaucoma, Low vision and Retina.

The BBA course aims at providing inputs to the students relevant to the business, industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face the challenges arising there from. The course not only provides knowledge and skills in different areas of management, but also provides inputs necessary for the overall development of the personality of the students.

It’s a branch of engineering which deals with processing of raw material, production, quality re-evaluation, packaging, storage and transportation, until and unless it is safe for consumption. It is a specialized course that helps the students gain an in-depth knowledge of the concepts of Food chemistry, Food Engineering and Food Preservation. This is a highly industry-specific course.

Course Objective

• To apply theoretical concepts in laboratory setting as per standard methods in the above mentioned areas and Food hygiene and Sanitation
• To understand the applications of Food science in Food safety, Clinical interventions, Food Packaging and Processing
• To help the students acquire skills to undertake systematic research and maintenance of quality in the area of Food and Nutrition

The three-year full time regular course equips the students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The program involves in-depth laboratory work for students to gain expertise in the operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. It also provides managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety & Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.
The course pays attention to tactical and strategic management in areas like event management, financial management, human resource management, revenue management and entrepreneurship. Some of the foremost objectives of the course are also to develop research skills, complete a 6 months internship in the industry that too twice during the tenure of the course which will be able to deepen the knowledge in the field of Hospitality Industry.

The department has modern dental units with separate UG and air conditioned PG clinics. The clinics are fully loaded with all the latest instruments and dental materials like RVG,Surgical Operating Microscope ,Endoactivator,Thermoplastic obturation system,Endodmotor etc. There is an ample flow of patients for clinical training and an opportunity for students to increase their skills.The department has full fledge experienced faculty all of who are committed to excellence in all fields. BASLP, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, is a four-year programme that covers every aspects related to techniques and methods used in diagnosing and curing hearing, speech, and balance-related disorders amongst individuals. Disorders related to speaking and listening are studied in-depth in this course and then students are trained to treat these disorders and facilitate recovery of the patients.
