Radiography, a promineny paramedical professional course is meant to create professionals expert in diagnostic tests for medical treatment with the use of radiation. There is huge scope for Radiographers in Healthcare industry, Diagnostic Department, Intensive Care Units of Hospital and Operating Theatre. It is worth mentioning that radiographers who can perform the ultrasound test are known as sonographers.

Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology program is a focused program that offers students the opportunity to acquire business management skills and hospitality finesse needed to develop a career in the expanding hotel and restaurant industry. An array of career possibilities is available to graduates in the areas of professional management in restaurants, hotels, resorts, hospitals, institutions, conferencing and catering, and recreation management.

B. Sc. in Cardiovascular technology (B.Sc-CVT) is an industry-oriented course with focus on training students in of cardiovascular disease management and care. Students are given in-depth understanding and training to acquire skills for management of various cardiac disorders. The graduates can work as Cardiac Technologists who assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac (heart) and peripheral vascular (blood vessel) conditions. They play a crucial role during open-heart surgery or for implanting pacemakers or while monitoring patients during these procedures.

Bachelor of Science in Operation Theatre Technology is an industry-oriented course which prepares the students for a challenging and highly rewarding career in a hospital, nursing homes, trauma/emergency centers, Intensive Care units, CSSD etc. Graduates are eligible for employment overseas where their qualifications, training and experience are highly regarded. With further experience, graduates may be employed by medical equipment manufacturers and development specialists.

Pharm. (Quality assurance) is a two-year duration course designed to meet the specific needs of ever-expanding pharmaceutical industry, research organizations and academic institutions with special emphasis on the quality management system and regulatory submissions. The department of Quality Assurance is equipped with the state-of-art laboratories, ultra-modern facilities and competitive staff, which have been considered as most sophisticated infrastructure in the country.

 The focused research areas of the department are

• Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetic studies
• Development of analytical and bio-analytical method and validation
• Pharmaceutical materials science including crystal engineering and crystal structure manipulations of drug molecules
• Quality Management System of pharmaceutical industry
• Expertise in preparation and submission of dossiers.

Department is situated on ground level of the Dental College which helps it to work in close association with departments of Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery for patient’s diagnosis and treatment planning. It imparts education and subject expertise on dental anatomy and oral histology as well as oral pathology to under-graduates and post- graduates through first three years of their training for BDS degree and also higher education to budding oral pathologists.

Pediatric dentistry encompasses a variety of disciplines, techniques and procedures to modify and adapt to the special needs of infants, children and adolescents. Pediatric Dentistry is an “Age Defined” specialty. In this department, students perform all types of preventive and comprehensive dental procedures in children up to the age of 14 years. Further, a child friendly environment is provided considering the variable behavior needs of the growing children and thus instilling in them a positive attitude towards dentistry.

The course addresses different aspects of agriculture including Forestry and Horticulture as well. The students are given in-depth knowledge of scientific agricultural practices and trending farming techniques. The idea is to upgrade their skills and nurture a professional attitude towards agricultural development. The focus of the course is to create professionals who work on promoting best practices in agriculture for rural and national development.

Optometry is the science of dealing with issues and problems related to the eye. A course in Optometry covers every aspect related to understanding the eye, problems, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illnesses and diseases etc. MM(DU) follows the Ministry of Health guidelines and offers lateral entry in Degree course to diploma holders in Optometry in the 3rd semester to balance the gaps in diploma programs. The program covers both clinical and theoretical aspects. Students would get in-depth understanding and training to treat Cornea, Glaucoma, Low vision and Retina.
