Radiography is the science of taking images of the internal and hidden portions of the human body for diagnostic purpose Using Ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, MRI, etc. comes under the realm of Radiography. Radiography, a promineny paramedical professional course is meant to create professionals expert in diagnostic tests for medical treatment with the use of radiation. There is huge scope for Radiographers in Healthcare industry, Diagnostic Department, Intensive Care Units of Hospital and Operating Theatre. It is worth mentioning that radiographers who can perform the ultrasound test are known as sonographers.

The 3-year B.Sc. Nutrition &Dietetics programme offers opportunities for students to develop Professional competencies in the areas of Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics. Under this programme, students are taught to focus on improving the nutrition status of the people. After the completion of B.Sc. The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology is considered as the backbone of Dentistry as it deals with the diagnosis of all the dental diseases. Further it is considered special as this department is a combination of Oral Medicine as well as Maxillofacial Radiology. Further, this department serves as a connecting link between dentistry and Medicine. The department serves and thrives to teach the students regarding the diagnosis and treatment protocol of different head and neck medical diseases. Since the oral cavity is considered as the mirror of the overall health of the individual, the students are made well aware of all these signs and symptoms. The department also imparts knowledge regarding the various psychological conditions having oral implications and vice versa. In a nutshell, the oral medicine department works as a part of a multi-disciplinary patient care team.

Training in Maxillofacial Radiology includes the knowledge and expertise in the acquisition and interpretation of radiographic images including IOPA’s and other intraoral as well as extraoral techniques. Training also includes the expertise in conventional and advanced maxillofacial imaging including CT and MRI as well.

The B.Com (Hons.) course aims at providing inputs to the students relevant to the business, industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face the challenges arising there from. The course not only aims at providing knowledge and skills in different areas of management, but also provides inputs necessary for the overall development of the personality of the students.

A course in Optometry covers every aspect related to understanding the eye, problems, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of illnesses and diseases etc. MM(DU) follows the Ministry of Health guidelines and offers lateral entry in Degree course to diploma holders in Optometry in the 3rd semester to balance the gaps in diploma programs. The program covers both clinical and theoretical aspects. Students would get in-depth understanding and training to treat Cornea, Glaucoma, Low vision and Retina.

(Quality assurance) is a two-year duration course designed to meet the specific needs of ever-expanding pharmaceutical industry, research organizations and academic institutions with special emphasis on the quality management system and regulatory submissions. The department of Quality Assurance is equipped with the state-of-art laboratories, ultra-modern facilities and competitive staff, which have been considered as most sophisticated infrastructure in the country.

 The focused research areas of the department are

• Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetic studies
• Development of analytical and bio-analytical method and validation
• Pharmaceutical materials science including crystal engineering and crystal structure manipulations of drug molecules
• Quality Management System of pharmaceutical industry
• Expertise in preparation and submission of dossiers.

MM(DU) offers B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), a dedicated course that helps the students evolve as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist. An MLT is an important part of Medical team with full knowledge of diagnosis, prevention and timely treatment of diseases through clinical laboratory tests. As a professional, you would play a key role in identifying abnormalities in the samples such as malignancies, pathogens, or genetic abnormalities.

B.Pharm course focuses on medicinal chemistry, organic as well as inorganic aspects of chemistry. It also includes concepts of Bio-chemistry, Health education and Human anatomy and highlights the uses, effect and action of drugs on body (Pharmacology, Pathophysiology) as part of the curriculum. This program teaches the process of turning a chemical into a drug which is called physical pharmaceutics, Bio-pharmaceutics plus pharmaceutical technology. Apart from this Herbal drug technology is also part of the curriculum.
