The course includes specialized subjects such as IT Applications and Open Standards, Dynamic Paradigm in Open Source and Open Standards, Marketing and Services in OSS, Open Source Mobile platform and OSS Development Methodology that provide hands-on capabilities on various aspects of this highly specialized domain.

Integrated B.Sc.- M.Sc. (Physics) with specialization in Material Science aims to equip students both with the fundamental as well as advanced concepts in Physics as well as hands on training in synthesis and characterization of novel materials - finding applications in domains including but not limited to health, sanitation, defense, clean energy harvesting (solar cells, fuel cells, hydrogen storage, etc.), aerospace, semiconductors industry, etc. Students will also have opportunity to learn computational materials science, in which they will be equipped with various simulation software /techniques and numerical algorithms to simulate materials via computers. The students enrolling for this program will have opportunity to work with faculty members having exceptional academic and research credentials in theoretical and experimental materials science. Students will also have access to the state-of-the art material synthesis and characterization instruments installed in the campus. 

This course gives an overview of cyber laws including the legal regime related to cyber-crime, copyright issue in cyberspace, cyber-crimes, and related subjects. Various class assignments and other activities involve case studies, group activities, cooperative group solving problems with real-life examples, so that students can get the idea about the practical aspects of this field.

Medical Microbiology comprises and integrates the fields of immunology, bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology. With the discovery of novel pathogens and emergence of current drug-resistant microbes make the anti-microbial therapies more and more difficult and complicated every day along with the burden of incurable infectious diseases. The objective of specialized course of medical microbiology is to provide an in-depth knowledge of the etiologic organisms causing disease and the pathogenic mechanisms leading to clinically manifest infections into its host. This knowledge is a necessary prerequisite for the diagnosis, therapy, and prevention of any infectious diseases, indispensable for both biotech, pharma industries and academic sectors.

As pharmaceutical microbiology is crucial to the manufacture and production of drugs, biologics and devices, it is absolutely important that people working in these industries have a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiological principles, techniques, processes and strategies in order to avoid any potentially costly and life-threatening failures and consequences.
