Masters in Microbiology is a two year course that offers two specialization streams namely Food and Environmental Microbiology and Medical and Pharmaceutical Microbiology. The stream Food and Environmental Microbiology offers electives courses such as probiotics and pre-biotics, food contamination and food borne diseases, bio fertilizers and bioremediation. Each stage of course is one up the previous level. Pre-biotics and pro-biotics covers how microbes are used in therapy and in impacting our over-all health. Food borne diseases delves upon how infectious diseases are contracted through food and prevention measures. The last course in the specialization bio-fertilizers and bioremediation elaborates the role of microbes in killing other microbes, pests and insects; and bio-remediation elaborates on the use of microbes in removal of toxins, contaminants and pollutants from environment. These three courses enable a student to become prospective food and or environmental microbiologist. The syllabus is designed such that students intern in industries/companies of their interest and do multi-disciplinary research project at SoHSSchool of Health Sciences, UPES in tie up with School of Computer Science, School of Business, School of Engineering and School of Design. The focus remains on outcome based education with the outcome being highly employable, problem solving microbiologists.  

UPES School of Design’s Postgraduate Programme in Interaction Design trains students to research, analyze, prototype, and design concepts in business, social, and cultural contexts within existing and emerging technologies. Students will gain proficiency in creating engaging user interfaces, ranging from 2D screen (UI for web and mobile) to 3D (AR/VR and will be able to conceptualize user experiences around new and emerging technology, and design to make interfaces more usable, useful and pleasant.

Space Technology deals with the design and analysis of space vehicles, Space flight or space exploration. The curriculum covers areas such as, Space Science & Space Environment, Rocket Propulsion, Orbital Mechanics and Design of Aerospace Vehicles. In the recent year the space industry has undergone significant changes such as reusable launch vehicle and also sees a tremendous amount of increase in commercial opportunities. Most prominently space technology warns people of upcoming disasters ultimately, saves thousands of lives.

This course is aligned with the latest technologies and models of sales and marketing, with a focus on the genesis of the lead source of marketing in the digital age. The emphasis is on developing critical as well as analytical thinking in the specialized area though case study, projects, workshops, masterclasses by industry experts, among other pedagogical tools. ?

PhD in Safety Engineering is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of Safety Engineering.

The course equips students with specific laws that govern the digital media landscape as well as mass media in general – whether it is about advertising on the digital platform or Over-the-Top media services. This is a five-year program that offers domain-specific subjects ranging from Making of the Indian Constitution, Jurisprudential Approach to Constitution to Comparative Federalism, and Legislative Relations. Drawing heavily from the rulings made in the Supreme Court, it is designed to preserve the relationships between state and federal governments and protect the rights of the individual. Furthermore, it enables the students to become better citizens by sensitising them about concepts that are the basis of a civilised society.

Banking, Management Insurance gives students an in-depth understanding of the economic, financial and banking affairs. It helps students gain adequate knowledge about the management of financial risk along with the general management areas such as strategy, marketing, and organisational studies. The specialisation aims to inculcate training and practical approach among the students by using modern technologies, and also to give adequate exposure to the operational environment in the field of banking.

Develops highly skilled disaster management experts.  Helps to apply suitable disaster management policies and techniques in line with local conditions and assist in reducing the losses that impact developing countries in particular.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.
