Dietetics and holistic wellness prepares students to use advanced knowledge about food and diet to help, prevent as well as treat diseases and maintain holistic wellness. Dietetics is a science that deals with the adequacy of diet during normal life cycle and modifications required during diseased condition. Holistic wellness is associated with an active process of being aware and making choices that lead toward an outcome of optimal holistic health and wellbeing. This specialization enable the students to learn the methods of assessing human nutritional requirements, dietary assessment and diet planning. It imparts the understanding of the concepts of diet therapy, basic dietetics, public health, therapeutic nutrition and alternative wellness therapies.
