B.Sc. in Polymer  chemistry offered at UPES is a three-year undergraduate course. The program mainly include study of polymers synthesis, polymer properties, polymer processing, polymer testing, polymer degradation, polymer reaction, composites and applications. In this specialisation, apart from essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java and python, databases, software engineering and design processes. Smart materials are materials that can respond to external stimuli such as stress, moisture, electric/magnetic field, temperature and pH. They are at the core of sensors used in smart electronics and comprise a huge variety of materials including piezoelectric, shape-memory, photovoltaic, thermoelectric, ferrofluids and self-healing materials. A student opting for this specialisation will be exposed to the properties, synthesis and application of these materials, and will be able to explore one of these material systems in-depth through the dedicated project work.

Tech. in Renewable Energy Engineering provides the in-depth knowledge of various domains of Renewable Energy Sources like Solar, Wind, Hydro, Biofuel, Hydrogen etc.

This program is equipped with advance tools and lab setup equipped with advance testing kits and provision of engaging the students in real time field visits to perform the feasibility study of various Renewable Energy Systems. This program offers the blend of placement opportunities in various verticals of Renewable Energy Engineering to work as an Energy Specialist, Energy Consultant, Project Manager, Lead Energy Auditor (ISO-50001 global level), Renewable Energy Products Manager, RE project developer etc.

Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) in Fashion Design introduces students to a combination of traditional craft techniques with digital technologies to transform concepts from two-dimensional fabrics into three-dimensional forms. The programme covers all aspects of the design process, from trend analysis, research and design development, drawing and illustration, colour and fabric development, historical and cultural studies, translation of ideas from 2D to 3D through to presentation, marketing and business development.

The curriculum focuses on various aspects of mass media -- from writing for media to developing communication skills to learning the basics of electronic and digital productions.
