The course is a concoction of the study of commerce and law. By completing this integrated course, a student can learn about two different professional fields. The specialised law course, in its five-years duration, equips the students with the knowledge of both commerce and legislative regulations as a comprehensive concept.

The specialisation educates students in regulating and resolving disputes relating to both individual labour laws i.e. the employees’ rights at work and the employment standards as well as the tripartite labour laws i.e. the relationship between the employer, employee, and the union. UPES provides students with an opportunity to complete two seminar papers and a dissertation exclusively in labour laws under the mentorship of the faculty and an industry-based professional.

The course equips students on subjects including Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, and International Financial Management, giving an understanding of the finance division of an organization or for pursuing higher education such as MBA, MS (Finance), FRM, and CFA program. Case studies and practical examples are at the core of this course. Students undertake term projects to apply the theoretical frameworks to business management issues, especially finance.

In this vastly digitized world of cyber, Security is a vital aspect. Also, the internet has made our systems vulnerable to numerous cyber-attacks. Apart from essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java and python, databases, software engineering and design processes, through this specialization one will learn the intricacies of cyber focussing on security, crimes or attacks. Students will learn to apply forensic investigation and analysis tools with rightful relevance to law practices and procedures. Cyber Security professionals are hugely demanded in all areas allied to Cyber/IT.

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA + LLB) is a five-year integrated dual degree course which provides an integrated study of management studies and legislative law in an entirely independent manner.

This course is designed to train students in the intricacies of law as well as financial markets, making them proficient in all basic law subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, and international law. In addition to these, it has an in-depth focus on laws related to banking, finance and insurance, the pillars of modern economies, and regulatory bodies related to these fields such as Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Competition Commission of India (CCI), and Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

Integrated (B.Des) - (M.Des) in Transportation & Mobility Design gives students access to a High-Performance Visualization Lab for real-time 3D visualization of products, Rapid Product Development Lab equipped with Rapid Prototyping, Laser scanner and Laser cutting machines. Students will have proficiency in creating mobility solutions with distinct functions and social impact.

The Students enrolling in this specialisation acquire proper training in petroleum engineering with a primary focus on exploration and production of oil and gas. Students gain a thorough knowledge of all major technical aspects in relation to the entire hydrocarbon value-chain and the strategic techno-commercial issues. This program specialization encourages students to explore the key principles of pharmacokinetics (PK) including factors that affect the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and binding of drugs and integrate these principles into the process of monitoring, evaluating and adjusting dosing for patients. It provides students with the ability to interpret drug concentration measurements in the context of the therapeutic window, along with the derivation of dosage adjustments to maintain therapeutic concentrations. Upon completion of the course, the student will contribute at planning, design and analysis of clinical studies from pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PD) perspective. They will apply this information in the clinical drug development process. It will also provide hands on experience with pharmacokinetic data analysis, advanced PK/PD modeling research with emphasis on disease progression modeling and implementation of mechanism-based approaches.

This specialisation covers computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, android development, Linux administration, database management systems and also provides students with insights into the world of open-source and open standards along with exposure to open-source communities and open-source development methodology.

The course includes specialized subjects such as IT Applications and Open Standards, Dynamic Paradigm in Open Source and Open Standards, Marketing and Services in OSS, Open Source Mobile platform and OSS Development Methodology that provide hands-on capabilities on various aspects of this highly specialized domain.

Business Process Disruptions focus on risks associated with business processes. In this program, the nature of disruptions are understood in detail with a focus on supply chain and logistics. The importance of continuous operations, criticality of IT in business processes, barriers to supply chain transformation, and threat of competitive forces is studied.
