Environmental geochemistry has grown rapidly over the last decade and is the core of environmental sector. Environmental geochemistry is concerned with the sources, distribution and interactions of chemical elements in rocks, soils, waters, air and biological material. Integrated B.Sc.- M.Sc. (Physics) with specialization in Material Science aims to equip students both with the fundamental as well as advanced concepts in Physics as well as hands on training in synthesis and characterization of novel materials - finding applications in domains including but not limited to health, sanitation, defense, clean energy harvesting (solar cells, fuel cells, hydrogen storage, etc.), aerospace, semiconductors industry, etc. Students will also have opportunity to learn computational materials science, in which they will be equipped with various simulation software /techniques and numerical algorithms to simulate materials via computers. Forensic science is a highly advanced research method used in criminal and civil investigations to address critical questions. An integral part of the criminal justice system, it includes techniques such as the analysis of fingerprints, DNA analysis, and ballistics and explosives.
