In this specialisation, students learn about essential concepts such as data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts using Java, databases, software engineering and design processes. Students will also obtain an in-depth knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence by implementing relevant real-world problems in a wide variety of application domains such as robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, etc. Students will be experienced in machine learning pipeline, data, models, algorithms, and empirics.

The Indian semiconductor and embedded design industry are expected to earn revenues of $114.2B in 2025 compared to $27.6B in 2015, with a CAGR of 15.3%. This requires deep understanding and hands-on experience of industry relevant chip design and verification skills i.e. SOC, CMOS, RTL Design, Verilog HDL, FPGA and System Verilog. UPES provides unique and focused Integrated M.Sc-PhD course aiming to deliver expertise in theoretical and experimental understanding of Mathematics and its allied disciplines. The program is designed such that after completing it, students would be able to excel in academia, industries, and research. The faculty members in the department have diverse research expertise including but not limited to Reliability analysis and optimization, numerical analysis, fluid dynamics, differential geometry, image processing and data analysis, dynamical system and mathematical modelling, etc., which would provide students flexibility in opting for their PhD topic. The curriculum is designed to give exposure not only about the subject but also research ethics, communication and skill augmentation. This specialisation explores the complex legal issues arising out of international banking, trade, and business from the standpoint of both transactional perspective and dispute settlement mechanisms (litigation and arbitration). Particularly oriented towards practice in these fields, the modules have a distinctly international and comparative dimension whilst at the same time drawing strongly on the rich tradition and experience of Indian law.

Masters in Microbiology is a two year course that offers two specialization streams namely Food and Environmental Microbiology and Medical and Pharmaceutical Microbiology. The stream Food and Environmental Microbiology offers electives courses such as probiotics and pre-biotics, food contamination and food borne diseases, bio fertilizers and bioremediation. Each stage of course is one up the previous level. Pre-biotics and pro-biotics covers how microbes are used in therapy and in impacting our over-all health. Food borne diseases delves upon how infectious diseases are contracted through food and prevention measures. The last course in the specialization bio-fertilizers and bioremediation elaborates the role of microbes in killing other microbes, pests and insects; and bio-remediation elaborates on the use of microbes in removal of toxins, contaminants and pollutants from environment. These three courses enable a student to become prospective food and or environmental microbiologist. The syllabus is designed such that students intern in industries/companies of their interest and do multi-disciplinary research project at SoHSSchool of Health Sciences, UPES in tie up with School of Computer Science, School of Business, School of Engineering and School of Design. The focus remains on outcome based education with the outcome being highly employable, problem solving microbiologists.  

Applied Mathematics focuses on the innovative creation and imaginative use of mathematical concepts to present and solve problems over the various field of natural sciences, engineering sciences, medical sciences and emerging fields such as data sciences and artificial intelligence. The program is designed to provide students an increased knowledge and comprehensive understanding of mathematics, particularly in algorithms, fluid mechanics, differential equations, probability and stochastics, and optimisation. 

The full term of two years and the syllabus for the program is divided into four semesters. This Master’s program is also an ideal preparation for various PhD programs in basic sciences and engineering.
